lol, nice one! The lightning is awesome motor from Ford, but thats about all. It's still an F150 pickup, I might trade a Chevy SS for it, but not a Benz.

Haha, a hell of a lot more reliable than alot of the C class cars from what I've been reading on this very board. This is my second L, and they have both been the most reliable vehicles I've owned. You obviously don't know much about the L do you...

Maybe, maybe not. Just throwing it out there. Calimax clearly had no idea what he was talking about, seeing as the stock motor in the L was one of the weakest links as far as making power goes .... And if you want to get down to it, the only thing that the L shares w/ a "regular f150" is the body style. Everything under the shell is completely different. Should probably know what he's talking about before he starts typing. If reliablility was my main concern, I wouldn't be looking at these cars, I just need a 4 door and would like to have something that has at least a little speed to it.

I apologize if you got in some way offended by my post, but I'm not a big fan of most modern domestics, so I don't pay too much detailed attention to the differences between all the hi performance engines Ford and their affiliates put out. As far as my comment of the L having an awesome motor from Ford, it's not like I'm referring to a Torus SHO, so sure it is, I was thinking of a non Ford Racing/ hi-HP product from Ford's line up. So if this engine is one of the weakest links for making power, how the heck were you able to build from this motor, making 463/551 to the wheels w/ the stock s/c and handle up-wards of 800 rwhp?? Doesn't sound too weak to me. I clearly understand there are obvious difference to the suspension, braking, power plant and some cosmetics but I still mean it's an F150, is not like its King Ranch packaged Super Duty or anything! I'd personally pick the Harley Davidson version with an improved interior, not to sound too egotistical, but it wouldn't feel like so much of a step down from a Benz.

P.S. If you don't know anything about me, don't belittle my knowledge. I wouldn't think of you as a total F*ck Tard from the first time I talk with you, although your proving me wrong with your rudeness.

Of course its more reliable than Mercedes thats been built within the last decade, theres nowhere near the amount of over-complex electronics in a Ford, but lets face it Ford doesn't put out the same "Built Ford Tough" Trucks they claim to like they used to, or many of their other models for that matter.

Haha I really could not care less what you think of me. In stock form, the L motor is one of the weakest links in making big power. Clearly, the motor in my truck is NOT stock. It is a BUILT 5.4 with forged internals. This means that it can handle a **** ton more boost = a **** ton more horsepower. If tuned correctly, the stock L motor could handle the power that mine is putting down, but that is far from big power in the Lightning community. If you are confused about anything else, just let me know.
