C63 V c32 v ISF Qtr Mile times
I'm still in love with mine and I've only just begun to add goodies.
The way I see it, because nothing has come out below 70K that I even really want, my 32 keeps me happy and satisfied and prevents me from feeling the need to spend butloads of money on a car that though better in every way, is not so much better as to force a visit to the dealership to get one, at least not yet.
So hey, it's saving me money. Gotta love that!
Anyone want to confirm if the m112k and m113k transmissions are the same or different?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Basically, all we really want to know here is "what is the max torque the C32 tranny rated to hold"???
Here is a link to Kleemann's website detailing the ratings (in case you thought I was making this stuff up

Not true.
You must compare the transmission model numbers to get an accurate picture. For example:
The C32 transmission has a designation code of 722.633 (Engine code 112.961). This transmission is also used on the W209 CLK500, early W211 E500, some SL 500 (early R230) and W140 and early W220 S500.
http://www.europeantransmissions.com...es.htm#C-Class
Meanwhile, the W203 C55 and W208/W209 CLK55 transmissions use the 722.636, shared with the N/A CL55 AMG and N/A S55 AMG. The CLK430 (M113 N/A) uses a different transmission.
Not saying my source is complete either, just that there are more variables than what has been previously listed. I'm certain definitive/verifiable information can be available through MB parts listings.

The latest test I've seen of the C63 has the Qtr at 12.5 at 114.4. Do you realize that a very well "ripped" C32 is running real close to the C63 in the Qtr? ?? WOW, who would've thought?? I love it. Better than that, the modded C32s are about equal to the $70,000 Lexus ISF. Granted, the ISF is not modded, BUT to run with these guys (C63 and IS-F is awesome!!) Dragtimes has the ISF averaging about 12.8 to 13.2 at an average of about 111, so the C32 (moded) is running right with it. Woo hoo!!! Dragtimes is showing the C63 at 12.3 and 12.5 at 113.00 to 116.00. Again , the C32 is a whisker away from these times!! A stock C32 is equal to or beating the Audi RS 4!1 Eat this TIFOSI!!!!

Some of this info came from the June 2008 RT edition with the Ferrari California on the front where they comparison tested the C63 vs the ISF v the M3 and the Audi RS 4
The IS F comes fully loaded at 61K. Of course there might be some dealers trying to mark up the price a few grand but even still not 70k. Please show me a link, photo or something that shows a sticker price of 70k???

It had one uniquie issue that doen't make sense to me, it list different prices for the same transmision under different cars

Are there uniquie tail cones/shift linakge/etc that justify different prices? Or are they simply price gouguing on more expensive cars?
See yeah

I don't care cause there are always faster cars out there so for every fast car there is a faster car..take care.

Show ME your contract for 61 K!!

Ever drive one!! car is a slug in my opinion. Once again, great trans, BUT engine, particularly from the dig, leaves a LOT to be desired. Would I buy one? NO!!! The almighty C63 is the current HOT car in that class (and you can get one of those for about 60K). This is without the dealer mark-up that we are seeing!! Note that I said "about" , so with TTL you're at $67,000.

Ok Mr. wise guy....point well taken. Nevertheless, the F is a fine car and I'm sure it will be as reliable as most Lexus vehicles. Honestly I'd prefer a Lexus over a benz any day, simply because of the reliability factor. The reliability of a car is first and foremost the most important for ME (emphasis on me)
and quite frankly I am not impressed with my CLK 55 so far. Don't get me wrong, I like the style and everything else that Mercedes-Benz is about. I just can't stand for people to be bias and say negative things about other cars...especially when the two cars being compared aren't that much different performance wise. For the sake of argument let's call a truce
lol...j/k Newz..it's all good.
Slips? or at least times?
