I placed my order for a renntech airbox As most of you know I'm dynoing at 310rwhp, hoping to get a few more hp's at the wheels and get a nice look too. I will be sure to let you know what kind of Dyno numbers this box puts down. Renntechs sight claims 20hp with ecu+box I got 18.5 with ecu alone. So lets hope i dont get 1.5hp gain. I'm hoping for 10hp's but we will see. I will be sure to post all dyno results as soon as i get them. Headers are next.

Won't they have to retune the ECU to fully take advantage of the airbox?

renntech will if they have to. The guys at Dyno-comp were in AZ were i got the car tuned will adjust it if need be.

Very interested to see the results. There's another C55 owner here on the forum that has this also (can't remember who though).

You should cancel that order save the money and go sl55 airboxes. Seems like they flow more from the previous posts and they're quasi cheap.

didn't know you could do the sl55 airbox on a c55. I thought the people doing it owned c32's

I know the C32 guys are using sl55 boxes I hear the C55 you could use the E55 airbox. I know of one person who has the E55 box on his car but he's got a SC. I got a sweet deal on the box so I didnt kill the bank to much.

You can pretty much use the W211 E55 air box on the 430, 500 and 55 engines. Contact Vadim for more info.

Hooleyboy it seems like you have the mod bug... especially if you plan to place a supercharger eventually.

I tried too Sent a PM the other day and didnt hear back (probrably busy) I was Kinda leaning on getting the E55 box but my loot was burning a whole in my pocket so went with renntech. I'm just paying to play... When I get some more cash together Im going with LET for the LSD they seen to have a good price. I was going to get some headers first so i contacted Evosport via PM and got no answer then I called evosport and they would only do the headers for $2999 although they were on sale not to long ago. Was thinking about the VRP ones but there are no results for a C55 and I'm not to fond of the look. The Renntech guys excepted my offer on both the ECU and the Airbox so that were my money went. Some of these items are insanely marked up so I just try to make a fair offer and what ever company jumps at it first is were my cash goes. I'm going to make a post and ask if the sponsors have any deals going on of stuff right now or in the near future.

I got it BAD!!! The SC will come but i got to be realistic about it I'm about a year out on that. Plus after some headers I want to enjoy the new power for a bit and get some wheels and suspention. I dont have a car payment on my C55 so I put the $500 amonth away to do some mods.
