Looks like I'm not getting the C32 afterall. Despite the fact that I put a deposit on the vehicle, the dealership decided to go ahead and sell it to someone else. At least I got my deposit back, but it makes you wonder what's the point of it if they will still go and sell it right out from under you.

So now the search begins again. As much as I do like the C32, I do love the look of the CLK55 AMG.

That's what I asked them. It just wasn't meant to be this time.

They said that since the person had the money to pay the price in full, they were obligated to sell it to him. I could see it if I was keeping them hanging for weeks, but I gave them a deposit just a few days ago and told them I would have the rest of the money this Thursday. They were fine with it at the time, but I found it odd when I drove by the dealer the next day and saw the car still sitting out on the lot with the sale info on the window. I always thought by giving them a deposit, it meant "sale pending." Lesson learned, I guess. I just won't be giving them my business ever again.

Lesson learned for all of us: deposits are worthless!

That's pretty much the approach I usually take. It just tells me there's a better deal out there somewhere.

thats total bull****. that vehicle was yours, they have no obligation to do anything other than hold the vehicle for you. basically, they didnt think you were a solid deal, and took the "sure thing". i sell in a dealership, and i would never do that to anyone. was it an MB dealer? put their name out here, so they dont get any of our business

No, it wasn't a MB dealer. I'd never heard of a dealer doing something like this, so it did catch me by surprise. Next time I buy a car, I'll just have all the money up front.

Was it a dealer owned by Luxury Motors?

It still blows either way... **whispers "get a C32, screw the CLK!" **

I dealt with one of their other dealerships before and it wasn't a real good experience. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and try a different dealership this time. So much for that idea.

Well after many ups and downs, I finally have a C32 AMG. I picked it up this afternoon, but haven't had a chance to snap any pictures of it yet. I'll try to take a few tomorrow if I get the time.

Overall the car seems to be in pretty good condition. I do want to check the radiator and verify if it's a Valeo or if it's been replaced. The car has just under 51k miles on it, and pulls surprisingly hard. I'm coming from a stage 3 SRT-4 that had ridiculous power, and this one doesn't feel like it's that far off in performance. During my car search, I drove an 02 E55 AMG as well as an 02 CLK55 AMG, and this feels dramatically faster.

I took some friends out on back to back runs. On the second time out, it pulled hard the first time, but then on the second pull, it seemed as though the s/c didn't engage. The car just felt real sluggish. After a brief stop, I tried it one more time and the s/c engaged, and the car pulled hard again. On the way home, I gave it one more run and it pulled real hard again. I'm guessing it might just be the intercooler pump needing to be replaced, which I was planning to do anyways soon.

Congrats Redbull!

Post pics when you can. It sounds like your IC pump is starting to go so change it soon or if you have extended warranty use that and have them replace it first then get a upgraded one and keep the OEM as a spare. Check the radiator for brand and replace with Behr if its a Valeo to be on the safer side. Enjoy your C32.

The wife just came in and said there were oil spots on the driveway from where I was parked earlier. I went out there and took a look, and there were some spots, but not oil spots. I looked under the car where it's parked now, and it's definitely leaking a fluid.....looks like it might possibly be coolant. It appears to have almost a blue color to it. I'll be taking it back over to the dealer tomorrow, as I'm going to tell them it needs to be fixed because not going to keep a car that I've had only a few hours and already has a serious leak.

A) Falcon Punch

B) Go to your credit union and get an extended warranty.

C) What color?

I popped the hood this morning and took a look. It sure looks like the leak is coming from the radiator. I'll have to give the dealer a call and see what they say.
