I actually was talking about there street cars, But yes, i prefer all of the mercedes/mclaren F1 cars over the bimmers. Even though the M3 GTR may have beat all the other cars, i still think the mercedes are just as good or better, even though the M3 won.

Haven't checked this forum for a day, and here is like a 6 pages discussion on M3 vs C32. Boy, isnt' this interesting. Hey BlackC230Coupe, I am 80% w/ you on disliking BMW. Other than the X5, I will not get any other BMW's in the near future. (my 740 was a regretful decision.) Personally, I don't like BM b/c: 1.) Mostly terrible design; and this problem is getting worse, as evidenced on 7 and 4 series. 2.) BM's kidney stone signigure front grill just doesn't have the visual impact and the sense of presence of the MB's. 3.) BM has bad customer service.

1. Personal opinion. the new 7 and Z4 looks good in person IMO.
2. The Kindey grill is BMW's trade mark. just like the grill of Benz. It has the same visual impact as the MB's grill that is letting people know it's a BMW and not a MB.
3. depends on the dealership.

anyways.. i think this discussion is pretty pointless and ppl have gone thru this a million time now..
if you a mb fan then you will say amg is the way to go thus c32 is faster... if you a bimmer fan on the other hand then you will say Mpower is the way to go so obviously m3 is faster...so this whole thing btw the two nice car is about preference... mb or bimmer... sedan or coupe.... am i going to own this car for the new 5-6 years or will i keep trading it to experience new cars... cuz i konw that c32 shoudl have a better resale value.. mb always hold better resave value...anyways.. so if you are on the edge of buyin a car... choose what you want and waht you believe in.. as the saying goes "whatever floats your boat" cuz you will be the one driving it and they are not cheap so be wise and make ur choice...

as of the design of the new 7 series and the z4.... IMO i think they are really going down the wrong path too quickly! i think the rear design for both vehicles are alright nothing too impressive tho however the front of those two cars are an horror story......kidney grill on the 7 is fine but those headlights.. god... they look like eyebrows with yellolw mascara or wahtever that thing chix use...... yuiiiks... and its no cheap car either a high end car looking like a toy... the high tech interior is very appealing tho.. the mouse and all.... the Z4...duno about those signatrue kidney grill...they are not paralleled to the headlights.. its quite far down from the headlights so it looks weird... anyways i duno im bad at describing it cuz its just unique. ppl still buy them just cuz 1)they are blind 2) they actually like them 3) they are bimmers ...
no wonder james bond went for austin martin ... and i say daz a very wise choice! haha just my 2cent criticize me if you like thank you!

Test drove a M3 yesterday. The salewoman didn't know how to properly use the SMG and neither did I. The shifts were rough and the car was STIFF!

But it was fun though. If I had to choose I might get the M3 over the C32 AMG only because it's such a pure sports car, whereas the AMG is more luxury, at the expense of performance.

Btw, when you upshift on the M3, are you supposed to lift your foot off the gas like a regular manual or do you just continue holding down the gas pedal?

you don't have to lift off the throttle. you could, but it's pointless. it's all computer controlled. There is no proper way to use SMG. you just have to get use to it.

Ahh... that figures.

But one thing did disappoint me about the SMG though. I'd thought at least I would be able to throw the gears just like a real 6-speed, but instead it was just little pushes up and down. I think if I were to get it I'd go for the manual instead of the SMG, although the 6-speed clutch does look quite ugly (it's way too long for my taste).

Here are a few pics from a car show up in Canada, i bought my CLK from my good friend's cousin who lives up North, so me and my friend drove up to Canada to pick up the car, and while we were staying, his cousin told us about a car show, so why not take it to the show? The S55 belongs to a website, i forgot their name, real cool guys! Canadians rock! Anyone know where i can find some MPH gauges for cheap? Mine are still in KPH. Enjoy! BTW, since these pics, i have smoked the taillights and added an Eisenmann exhaust, and i am currently getting rid of the spoiler, and getting an Expression wing, waiting for that to come in any day... anyone know how long it takes Performance Products to deliver???
