p0335
is the crankshaft position sensor. You cleared the code but it remains stored in the ecu as pending.See if it stays cleared for several drive cycles and check it again to see if it clears as a pending code in a few weeks. If so great,if not and the cel comes back on do the r/r of the crank sensor similar on your 55 as any other m113 engine, located on the drivers side top of bell housing at about the 1oclock position looking at the engine from the front.
Diy on mercedesshop.com or benzworld.org w210 diy section.
If it fails your engine will crank but it won't run,the cps helps control ignition and fuel injection.
At least you got a code, most fail or start to fail without showing a code at all.

Not
even in pending, then it may have been one of those electrical gremlins that show up every once in awhile![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
At least you know where it is and that it is only 56 bucks to replace if you diy.

CPS going BAD....
Since I just experienced this event, let me advise you :
Do NOT ignore it- it will happen again and every symptom will be worse than previous.
In my case it happened ones almoust a month ago. problem "went" away on its own for a week. Than happened again and again this time with car having troublr starting and finallly stalling while driving.
After getting stranded on ther road for couple of hours, I ordered part from importec, spend couple of ourf tearing a part my baby and finally I'm free to roam around without problems.
It is easy DIY - just requires a lot of patience and right tools to go along.
If you plan replacing part on your own PM me and gladly I will provide some pointers how to do it easy way.
Regards Jack
