We backup the ECU before we flash it.... so if you want to go back to your stock software, it won't be a problem.
Good to know that it's backed up. I still need to play around with DAS and learn what MB Flash does. The only thing I've been able to code so far are NL mode for the security beep and change the gear ratio back to 3.27 and get rid of my P0730 code. Going to try the -10C fan mod next once I have the new lower temp thermostat in.

you gotta be in the know...he...he..he J/K It also helps that Jerry lives 5 mins from me, and I am the proud owner of one of the LET shop cars...

all kidding aside, im sure Jerry will hook you up. You thinking the large LET on the back window or the small LET on the corner windows? (both works too)

Jerry, Eleventeen - did you replace the O2 sensors?

I'm still figuring this out. I spent 30 minutes talking to the guys at Random Technologies and I'm trying to look for the obvious first...

EDIT: *****... wrong thread.

1. What's the level of effort in pulling the ECU?

2. What's the turnaround time? How long would I be without a car?

Any input is appreciated!

I'm Code III pulleyed and intaked.

Put wipers in upright positiion

ECU is on the right side

Not much effort. Just pry the first plug at the base and don't pull on the harness. I tagged each as they came out with tape so I wouldn't put them in the wrong spot- though I think it's impossible.

ECU slides right out.

Turn around for me was I shipped Friday, they received Monday and had it back to me on Tuesday! Now that's FAST!

I can only say yes if you have already done any type of mods (sc pulley, crank pulley, intake etc.). I also think there is even a gain with no mods being done but I can't say how much. You need to ask LET about that. This vendor along with Code3 has my business. Both were very professional and went above and beyond. For me (since I ride motorcycles too), I have to budget for the next mod and see what I can afford for each (C32, Harley, Sportbike etc.).

Finally pulled the trigger on the ECU tune. Its all the way from HK to Chicago.

Talked to Jerry a few times on the phone, very friendly and helpful person, stuffed me with useful info.

Jerry has the heart to customize a tune for each single customer. The ECU will reach Jerry on Monday and hopefully to have it back a few days later.

You'll be very happy, my car is an absolute rocket. As an aside, there were two LET kills this week, BOTH of newer model Corvettes (non ZO-6), but amazing nonetheless. The guy in the Blue Convertible (2007 model) literally stopped me in traffic and said " What the F*** do you have in that thing.?" Jerry thought he was going to get a A** whoopin after his kill. Seems like the Vette guys are pretty decent and will own up to a fast car when they get beat. We BOTH got the thumbs up!!! I do the same when I get beat by that Black E 55. Watch out for Chicago X, thats an 11 second E class there STILL COMIN FOR YOU IN THE RAIN THOUGH guys!!!(AS SOON AS THE ML gets the JERRY TUNE, fear no one in the Rain!!! " NO Spinnin Means Winnin!!! "

Thanks, I am looking so forward to it. I had a number of M3 kills too, not any vette to challenge here as we got none in our territory. The last time i got smoked big time was a heavily modded Stage 2/3 E55, my car was stock, not a single chance.

Those are the fun ones. I got one of those reactions with my last car after beating a bike. I'm looking forward to getting in on the fun of surprising people again with the Merc.

Just watch out for any bike that's 998, 1000rr, R1 etc.....no way to smoke these. I ride and people always think they're quicker.

Getting back to the LET Tune, what's everyone doing beyond the HE? Who has done headers, cams etc?
