I want a C55-style exhaust for my C32 that isn't abnoxiously loud, and performs equal or better than the stocker.
I've searched around and it seems like that Weltmeister Quad is the best option, but they're no where to be found. There's the Eishaun...? But from the videos on youtube it sounds like it's too loud and a bit abnoxious... my main reason is looks and sportier sound, but I don't want sound like a rice burner. For performance I'm looking at a cod3 package.
I know this topic has been beaten to death here, but I've found little direction from searches. Thx!

Weltmiester or Carlsson would be the best bet. A stock C55 exhaust would require a new spare tire tub.
You can find Weltmiester on PerformanceProducts. There are vids of it on youtube too.

I just looked up the one for Carlsson but it does not say if you need to do any bodywork to make it fit. It just shows a pic.

weltmeister and carlsson are identical in the design of the piping. carlsson's made by supersprint, so chances are weltmeister's made by supersprint as well.
both require cutting the bumper for the side that you don't have the exhaust tips to work.
weltmeister with headers and no resonator

I have the C55 quad on mine
I went with a custom set up first but hated the sound,
so I stumped up the cash for the C55 system which after searching for ages trying to find one second hand ended up getting new from the dealer.
If you really like the idea of the C55 quad as opposed to going with an aftermarket version then don't be put of by having to change your spare wheel tub, it's really not that big of a job.
Tbh the biggest expense is the exhaust itself, but you may have better luck than me finding a used one
amgmark did a good write up on what to expect here

as far as the sound goes I'd say it's just about right
no louder than the stock system while cruising but a nice throaty roar when at WOT

FrankW, straight forward installation on a Weltmeister? No cutting other than removal of old exhaust and making an opening for the new tips?Originally Posted by FrankW

Thanks everyone for chiming in... the C55 looks best, but backpressure concerns and pricing are a factor - I'll get a quote from the dealer and see how much that setup would run me.
the Weltmeister Quad is simply no where to be found, from what I've seen/heard, this is the one I favor. Where do I buy it? I've checked everywhere!
If the carlsson's design is the same as Weltmeister, then that makes a good contender... I'm just not crazy about the tips
but I guess that could be changed.

Found the weltmeister on performanceproducts under C320... I'm also curious if other mods are required besides the rear bumper.Originally Posted by pointman

Do you guys have a picture of the weltmeister exhaust from underneath the car? I'm curious as to how the exhaust is being routed.

MH-Dezent is another option but they're like 3k.
