Replacing the C32 with a "slower" benz
So out of curiousity, i went to test drive the W204 C200K, the car with equivalent value (AU$60000 brand new) to my C32 (currently AU$ 65 - 70k in the pre-owned market, i bought it for 85k in 2006). Yes it sure it feels more solid, steering has more "connective" feeling, responsive, and generally better than the C32. it made the C32 feel absolutely obsolete
However, the c200k car lacks acceleration, as for C63 its $150k here in Aus, used C/CLK55 is still over $100k here

for 70k you could buy a C208 CLK55, 2001 CL500, 2002 S500, 2003 E320
I can expand the budget to 85k and get a C280, but it still can't beat the C32

FYI, back in 2002 a brand new C32 will set you back $160k

i installed clear fogs, clear mirror indicators, smoked s class LED rears to keep it looking fresh. maybe some trunk/roof/front bumper spoilers coming soon.
HELP!!!!,

-is it time to grow up and retire from the speed and settle for the C200K, a newer, better, fresher, more stylish car?
-or would you say keep the C32 and enjoy it because i'm likely to miss the power (I missed the "rawness" of my integra when i sold it for the C32)
-Buy a pre-owned benz from the list above? only the c208 clk55 would come close to the C32 in terms of performance
-Heck or maybe just install a c32 engine into the new c200k although that would wreck warranty and doubtfully worth the trouble

The sales rep even said this c200k will be an "economical" replacement for the C32 that is a b!itch to feed, but hey fun doesn't come free after all.

My advice? Spend a few bucks spiffing up the C32 (bushings, shocks) and it will feel new again.

there are already chips and other thngs you can do to get better performance.
Im pretty sure the c280 in australia is the same thing as the c300 here in north america.
and if you get the c280, get it with AMG sport package...this is a must!~!!
