Moisture in the headlight
I know someone else had this problem before (I searched it but couldn't find the thread).. It rained like hell today and right after I parked the car, I saw fogged up headlight. I will take it to the dealership but before I do, I want to know how others fixed this problem..
Is it just the seal or do I must replace the entire assembly?
If dealer have to replace the whole thing, i'll be pissssssssssssssssed...
It really suxs that I can't transfer MBUSA Warranty to Korea..

2 ways to do it. one's the very long process but guaranteed no problem. the other is quicker.
first way: take out your headlight (might have to taken out bumper). remove all bulbs and wiring. Take a heat gun and heat where the housing and lens meet. pry it open CAREFULLY. windex it clean and make sure there are no streaks. might wanna put some anti fog there if you want. and it might be time to black out your headlights too. reseal the housing and lens with some high quality plastic/glass silicone. wrap the headlight over and over again using quick release masking tape. sit overnight and ur done
2) this is the quicker process. if turning on the lights and remove the moisture works, great. Just take the headlight out and put a thin bead of silicone where the lens and hoursinf meets. if not, remove the headlight, bulbs and wiring. take a hair dryer and dry the light and make sure there's no more moisture. reseal with silicone.
hope this helps.

Thank you for nice DIY tips!
I guess seals are going bad then huh?? I mean, if I can solve this problem by turning on the hid for few hr, that would be great. But, this problem will occur again when it's raining... I've never had this problem before....
Sigh...

Just a thought, I had the same problem earler... but the car was under warranty and i got the dealer to put in 2 new headlights. So if ur car is under warranty take it bake to the dealer and get them to replace it lights.
Just tell them that the moisture is a lot more in the morning and then as the days goes by it gets less and less. but never goes away.

MY car would be under MB warranty but since mine is in Korea, Mbusa warranty won't transfer
..Korea doesn't have autopart shops like Autozone.. So it's hard to get hold of any tools or parts.. Oh well..Looks like an easy fix.. Thank you all for ur tips / comments! I'll just probably take it to a shop and let them deal with it...
