As someone here before said that you feel the car being "lighter" well, the resonator is about 12-15 lbs. in weight, so to me I think having it taken off you can feel the car is lighter. But gain in HP, don't think so.
Just make sure to check what the exhaust guy did afterwards, I know my main concern was exhaust leaks, and we have smog test here in TX. Everything turn out to be fine.
And yes, he told me it won't affect the smog test.
For everyone looking to do it, just do it!

and Just today at a red light on my way home from work I had a guy in an E500 ask me what kind of exhaust do I have explained and where did I get it, I referred him to the muffler shop i went and the cost said he was going to have it done asap. You can always have them put back on if need be. mine are still the the trunk lol
I have been getting double takes from alot of people especially those driving a sports car and BMW's haha its awsome DO IT! if you havent
The Mrs. has never even noticed it, and it’s her daily driver. It is only fair to be forthright and disclose that we're well in excess of the typical C32 age demographic. I graduated from the obnoxious exhaust syndrome decades ago.
If it hadn’t been for ScottW911’s resonator thread, mine would still be entirely stock.
Splinter: the fact that your Mrs. didn't notice it is the kind of response I wanted to hear haha. If I'm driving around business clients or whatever, it is good to know that it isn't far from stock or annoying.
