design ideas
My C32 is completly stock, and it gets pretty warm under the hood. When I ran a large turbo on my last GSX eclipse I wrapped reflective tape on my 3" intercooler piping (trashy looking yes) my car dropped IAT temps quite abit and picked up some power. How about chrome for those reasons. Doesnt Black tend to absord radiated heat more?

Cars and boats!
Looking forward to hearing the good news Jerry...
Just as my suggestion as we discussed on the phone today.. I like idea #2, pipes powdercoated in pewter to match front engine cover, and OEM mounting positions (make it so that it can be adjusted a little depending on each car's engine position).
I'm also all for keeping costs down on this product so CF doesn't get my vote (I stopped doing the whole carshow/HIN thing years ago). 28mpg and increased hp sounds tempting for me.

I can't wait to see the LET intake
I just had my 185 mm pulley, headers and exhaust installed. The car is running rich and shifting before it hits 5000 rpm. I'm going to see if the ECU adapts and dyno it again on Friday. It was at 11 AFR on yesterday's dyno run and black smoke came out of the exhaust pipes?! It could also have been the powdercoat from the headers but I'm not sure.
Jerry, I think my car needs a tune.

Well guys, I was a little reluctant to do anymore mods, but after talking with Jerry all I can say is WOW. I guess its time to open the piggy bank back up
I wasn't too thrilled with Code3's alternate intake setup, IMHO, but the boys at LET are Difentantly on to something here. My money is already in line for their setup. I won't let the cat out of the bag as Jerry hasn't finalized it yet in his own words. But I will say " We will all be VERY happy with it" Just when I thought there was no more to squeeze out of our toys, at a fiar price, LET proves me wrong again. GREAT job guys, my hat is tipped yet again to you ![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)

Now my only debate is what I will tell the guys at the track when I pull a couple of MORE lengthes on them on the front and back straightaways.![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
THANKS LET
See yeah

OK, met with the fabricators yesterday.
We will use standard aluminum piping that is welded vs. couplers.
We will offer powder coating in your color choice at an additional cost. The aluminum piping, engine cover, and coil pack / valve covers (this is the part that will cover each side of the intake plenums) will all be powder coated the same color.
Thoughts on exchange program / core charge for engine cover? No need in having two engine covers.
The filter elements will be black.
Dual intake setups will use the 5.5L splitter. Those that already have this part will receive a discount.
Intake will mount using existing mounts with room for adjustment.
I'll see if I can't get the first set made today and get pictures taken.

MPG #s
I tried to beat Jerry's numbers today, a lil warmer, but could not; Here's my latest, Damn you LET!!!!
Although, I gotta tell you, almost 26 MPG for a sub 13 second qtr mile car ain't bad at all!!! (and this was with a lot of traffic light stops to boot, tons of police activity today as well (end of month
)

FYI, guys.
I have a Needswings intake on my Crossfire.
Once you hear that blower whine (ESPECIALLY with a bigger pulley), you will NOT get better MPG. You'll be flooring it EVERYWHERE.

As an aside
, many of you PM'd me about my going from a V-1 to a 9500 iX model; Let me tell you, if you drive any AMG car or any car for that matter. This is the next $499.00 you need to spend since the traffic speed and red light cams are getting crazy in all of the municipalities. Its quiet, programmable and updateable on the net with a USB cable. Best unit, bar none, that I've ever known. No falses (or rare) and no ghosting like the V-1. Get one!! I run with mine on AutoNoX (means Auto with No X band since in Il they dont use X anymore , its all K or Ka band or Lidar here. :woohoo:

This intake (as well as others) will help mpg's but it won't help your driving style. These cars are able to put +25 mpg any day of the year (highway cruising). It's all in your driving style. You won't believe me if I tell you I've seen 28-29 mpg in my car.
I have a couple of tree-hugging neighbors and they think their Highlander Hybrid is the *****. 25/27 mpg? No problem for the C32.
