Blacked out my grille, debadged.

Mostly as an experiment (sig has a pic with it unpainted) - this grille is fine, but want something new so I painted it to see if that's the direction I want to go. Criticism/ideas/sample pictures welcome. Going to remove and buff the V6 Kompressor badges tomorrow if I have time. Blacked out tails after that at some point. Tips/write-ups on that, anyone? (yes, we're still moving in, so it's a complete disaster in the garage) Your next question is about the frosty head lights and I'm making another post about that now.

Thanks!

I kind of like the blacked out grill. On a black car, it looks sweet.

I like that as long as it's black rims on a silver car as well. The black highlights have to be spread around IMHO.

The grill looks clean very nice update.
I'd leave the emblems on the back though.

Smoke the side markers too, that would blend in well.

There is some euro strip or something you can get, right - doesn't have that at all?

I love the look, especially on a black car.

Love the grill but debadging isn't for me, hehe. Planning on doing the same black grill setup to mine. Is that just an ebay grill?

I like the blacked out grille - very stealthy!

Time to lower it =)

i've painted grilles in the past with good results. clean it really well, scotch bright pad, clean really well again, then hit it with a spray can. it's worked well for me with other vehicles. naturally, you are going to get a slightly better finish if you took it to a shop- but that's going to cost you.

It's about as low as I want to go. Maybe it's the angles, but the front and the back are ever so slightly tucked under the wheel wells. Or maybe you mean 'slammed' rather than lower, which I like on other cars, but not on this
