The amazing thing about this software is that you don't need the GPS of the 3G phone to get the results. It somehow uses the accelerometer in all iPhones to give you Hp, 0-60, G-force and more.

What's even cooler, is that there's an add on application where you breathe into the mouthpiece and it will give you your Blood Alcohol Level.
Aaaaand, when I put my iPhone in my back pocket, I truly have a Butt Dyno!

i heard everything is pretty accurate with that program, with the exception of the hp estimate.
They say, the 0-60, quarter mile and lateral g are dead on accurate. Not a bad program for $13 bucks, i'm going to get once when my iphone comes in.

I've been using this. I like it. My first run it was right on the nuts with the hp estimate but that's got to be a fluke since the next run was 100hp less - it's also possible my iphone moved - it's got to be mounted/sitting pretty stable for it to get accurate reads 
I used 3540lbs for curb weight. You create an entry for your car, you can enter mods that you have and so on and have multiple cars. There is a skid pad component that is fun to mess with.

its hard to estimate hp without a direct connection to the obd port, since the phone won't know what gear you are in and how many rpm's your at a certain speed. But i care more about the other information anyways.

OK, sometime yesterday, this little app started working on my son's iPhone, just the way it was supposed to. So today, I took my C32 out for a informal 5 minute test of Dynolicious.
I had my teen aged son in the car with me so I am factoring a weight penalty in the time. Before any one jumps on me for that, I did not drive crazy with him in the car. We only got up to freeway speed.
The iPhone showed a 0-60 of just 5.81 seconds (disappointing) and max WHP at 287. If you backwards calculate the 18% powertrain loss I entered in the app, it tells me that my car is producing 350 HP at the crank.
Hmmm.....
Not bad for just setting a phone in a cupholder and mashing the pedal for 6 seconds.

I wonder if there are 3rd party apps available like Dynolicious for non-iPhones?
