*** VRP C32 - HiFlow Headers ***

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I am building a set of 1.75'' headers for C32 for a local client. I would like an opportunity to extend this option to other C32 owners.

At this time we have built them only for SLK32, which have different flange location. On a Stage I SLK32 they have gained 15-20RWHP and 15-20RWTQ accross the curve. With more tuning and other mods they will support even higher numbers.

For the first three orders price will be $899, they will be $1149 regularly.
Black or Silver HiTemp Coating.

I think you need to make a set for the 2.5L V6 that's in the 2006-2007 C230

If I didn't already have LET headers, I'd be sorely tempted...

First 5 sets are going in production next week at special introductory price of $899. They will be ready in about two weeks.

Three sets are sold.

After that they will be at $1149, special order.

Question

Nice gains and cudos to great intro price....why not just keep pricing under $1k afterwards? $899 is great introductory start but jumping past $1k will have us money minded potential customers look elsewhere

I am trying to keep cost as low as possible. This is why we are making 5 sets at a time.

If there is enough demand, I will try to keep some on the shelf.

Vadim - what mods did the SLK in the dyno graph have? You mentioned Stage I but I would like to know what mods in particular.

What would be the optimal true dual exhaust configuration? TIA.

We just about finished wit a run. I have enough to make one more set.

If anyone is still on the fence, I will extend the special until the end of the week.

Thanks!

No surprise! Small vender seems to collect money from customers first than make the parts causing big delay (to keep the cost low). Big company usually has part in stock. I only order part when I know it ready to ship, unless they lie. I really hate waiting. If you really don't like it, you can always cancel the order since it's not your fault.

Good luck guys!

One of our vendors that does ceramic coating has closed his doors. We and other companies had to use another vendor and there are delays because of the closure of the first one.

Exactly, you have to consider it as a custom job, rather than ordering an item off the shelf.

It's difficult for small companies to hold an inventory on low volume items due to the capital cost involved. Hence why large companies that rely on a larger upstream supplier market and rely on a JIT system can offer lower prices due to economies of scale.

...or, one can choose not to purchase anything from those who serve our niche. No harm - no foul.

I tried these well-known vendors first, but their MB expertise was nonexistent:

www.jegs.com
www.summitracing.com

They've lots of cool stuff for your ‘Vette, though.
