Serpentine Belt

Hey guys,

I have been running the same serpentine belt since I have had my car (~50K miles) and have run it through the stock setup, the evosport setup, and now the code3 setup. I would therefore like to get a new one for my new setup. I searched around on the forum and was unable to find a link or place to purchase another serpentine belt for the C32. Does anyone know of where I can purchase one besides from the stealership? Thanks

your options are the stealership (approx $80) or get a gatorback belt. (search the forum)

Jake's right. Gatorback can be purchased through Summit Racing for $50-60.

MB part number is 112 997 00 92. It’s manufactured by ContiTech, as they are a MB OE supplier.
~$50 from my friendly wholesaler.

I'm just personally not a fan of the gatorback belt...It is too agressive on the components...

just my 2 cents...

so are you saying that it increases the rate of wear-and-tear of the components the belt runs because of the aggressive components?

I actually tried the Gatorback belt with my current set up, but found it to be too flimsy. The stock belt is thicker and doesn't flex as much.

Here's a place you can buy the factory belt without leaving your house. This site can be accessed through the Mercedes-Benz of Eugene Oregon website or directly here:

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214269

Go to Maintenance & Lubricatioin --> Engine Service --> Belts & Pulleys --> Serpentine Belt.

The belt is only $53.25 for the C32.

I been getting great reviews of the Gates V belt over the OEM or Gatorback.
