fat intake tubes
I was just cleaning my extremely dirty k&n airfilters and just noticed how lame the stock intake tubes are I know VRP makes a tube for the other sc 55's not even sure if fatter intake tubes would make an hp but the fit and finish would look cool. I also was thinking it would be cool even for a larger throttle body too. anyway, whats the consensus on fatter, better made intake tubes? Is any vendor willing to make them?

I tried fitting the VRP E55 CF tubes on my C55. They would not fit without cutting and patching. As that would ruin the look, I sold them on this forum. I do not think that VRP makes CF intake tubes for the C55 specifically. If it did, I would buy them.

don't know if it makes any sense for the tube opening (surface) to be bigger than the throttle body open surface.
I'm also looking into this but afaik it is mor eimportant to have a big airbox containing stored air which can be quickly sucked before filtration takes place

Why could you not just go and have some aluminum mandrel bent at the exhaust shop. Wouldn't that be just as easy?
Might not save on weight but the tube would be smooth as silk. Then just give it a rubber booty to attach it to the front so it could flex a bit and off you go...
