C63 running a 13.4

starts at 0:30. Even if he had AC on full, and was in auto, this car is not as fast as I thought it would be during pre-release reviews on it running 12.3's.

C32 AMG

Must have been a hot day, elevation, or crappy track. Everyone ran slow in that clip. M6 at 13.1, ISF at 14.2 or something like that. I'd say compared to those times the 13.4 is on par. The C63 is very capable of 12s on a good track in stock form.

Wow, how is this possible??? Even the M6 a 13.1? What really made me sad besides running a 13.4, the c63 only trapped 108. I wonder what an E55 would have done or a c6zo6. I am sure that chipped and pulley c32 with supporting cooling mods can run as fast as these cars. Even the turbo g35 was at 12.9, which was the fastest by the way.

as a decently done turbo g35 should be...

there is no replacement for serious aftermarket parts

Well... I agree, to a point. The reason to look at what other cars were doing the same night at the track is to get a frame of reference for the weather conditions, track prep, etc. If you saunter over to the C63 forum, you'll see that bone stock C63's have run 12.4 in good conditions - which, incidentally, is basically what the fastest, most heavily modded C32's have run to date in good conditions.

Some light mods on the C63 and it's all over - MHP's car (ECU/TCU tuning, thermal spacers, drop-in filters) is at 12.1 @ 116 on the first version of their tune - they feel with some minor revisions, they'll be in the 11's.

+1 Take a look at the C63 forum someone just posted the best time for a C63 and it was in the low 12's I believe. Weather/ cond play a HUGE difference in those 1/4 numbers.

If you look at the trap speed of 108 on a 13.4 it sounds like spinning to me help caused the low time....108 traps are usually in the 12s range...if we knew the 8th it would explain some of it. A TT G35 will trap much higher and the ISF as well as the M6 are capable of better times and speeds...even on a modded C32 launching is extremely difficult to make the 12s so image a NA V8 with 451 ponies
