oem mercedes benz bi xenon headlights
hope someone can help me here, i have a 2002 c32 with the original frosted non H.I.D. headlights, i bought a newer original clear projectors headlight set with built in H.I.D.s. now these are original Mercedes Benz, when i tried them out on my car, they turned on but when i turned on the ignition they turned off and the menu read that the headlights were out.. what is this problem with the original headlights with built in H.I.D.s..?

As Frank mentioned, the above is what you will have the dealership do for you. They have to plug it in to change this setting for you. Shouldn't take more than a couple minutes and they may even (should) do it for free since it's all OEM parts. I hope this just saved you an hours worth of random searching.
Having searched "for the win" myself many times, I can attest to the fact that this search feature is BS unless you know exactly what you're looking for.

its a small world, i live in Livingston its about 30 miles south of Manteca. how long did you live there for. hey, do you know a place where i can take my car to get the headlights reprogramed..? up in sacramento..

alright heres the deal.. i went to the mercedes dealer today to ask about the headlights switch to oem hid's. according to the specialist, it cant be done. i told him about the reprograming to present xenon and he said hes never heard of it. point is their being *****s about my situation, mr. Frank w, how is this done at the dealership..? should i talk to a mechanic or should i try another dealer..??? how is this process done..?

you could try talking to a different SA or go to another dealership. Just ask them if they can use the STAR program to change the XENON setting to Present. They may or may not charge you to do this.

If they don't even know how to do this, you don't want to use them for any other service.

freegin A man..!!! you guys are awsome.. s#!t, and im over here feeling like and idiot cus i thought i was the only one that a dealership has done this to.. i bet there going to feel like idiots when i show them the instructions with the pictures..
