So, I figured it was about time...

Added a 65 shot of nos to the beast, and also included a full regime of product from DEI to handle the cooling.

The nos is activated with both wot and the red switch on the dead pedel. Not a fun install at all. Mad thanks go out to Jerry and Andy for the help.

The DEI equipment contains 2 intake coolers, a cryogenic fuel bar, and the intercooler sprayer. Should help for the hot days at the track...

Both systems are wired to switches in the ash tray, and the switches are mounted to a temporary block that is going to be carboned over soon.

what you guys think?

Runnin the lines under the car

Throttle Body fun

Thanks! With the extra power and the cooling we are hoping to get close to breaking the 12s barrier on the 18th!

just the basic kit and 2 intake kits.

Just be mindful that even buying the kits there is a bunch of plumbing stuff you have to buy seperately, as well as additional lines to run the stuff safely and correctly.

DEI-

2 3" intake pieces
1 10lb install kit
1 16x 5 intercooler sprayer
1 fuel line chiller

Talk to a guy on the forum with the screen name DynamicMotoring. He has the hookup for the DEI stuff on the cheap.

The nitrous is from ZEX. They have in my opinion the safest system out there.

Bear in mind, I am tuned for the mods, as well as the NOS shot, so use at your own risk.

Noted. cant wait to see the numbers your putting down. if their is any way you can get a parts list for the cryo2 kit that would be real nice.

Looks sweet.

When you say intercooler sprayer, are you actually spraying the heat exchanger under the bumper?

Why did you guys choose to install the fogger for the Zex wet nitrous kit in the throttle body? Why not install it post blower, like the Y pipe or the two ///AMG intake manifolds?

Those DEI cooling products looked interesting, but I had my doubts about the intake cooler's effectiveness since the air spends very little time going past the bulb inside the intake pipe. Plus the charge air post blower is going to be hot anyways. So spraying chilled fuel and NO2 post blower might be better at lowering IATs. Try datalogging the IAT on a run with only nitrous, only CO2, and one with both.

Nitrous might be the next step for me, but just a bit scared. I'd want to do a Nitrogen Assisted Nitrous push system though.

Personally, I find it mildly amusing that I'm targeting 12.xx in the near future, whereas others are targeting 11.xx - albeit with more serious mods (higher boost, nitrous, supplemental cooling, etc.). Go get 'em loungn14!

p.s. are you running DR's too? If not, you should be...

Isn’t that the truth?! Several of those Chicago-area guys run very quickly.

It’ll be fun to watch the results from ChicagoX’s drag day. Even more fun to be participating, though. ;-)

Yes, I am actually spraying the heat exchanger as you thought. DEI calls the product a intercooler sprayer...

The decision to install the fogger in the throttle body was based on a couple of things. AMG-Jerry has the same setup on his old car, and he was there helping with the install. His findings were that both Renntech and ZEX insisted that the cooling affects would be worth just as much as the shot itself. It is a fuel / nitrous mix shot into the supercharger.
I am also using one fuel jet larger that the instructions as recommended by Renntech/Jerry.

I am going to do a bunch of data logging at the track on Oct 18th and will report results. With the nos injected at the supercharger, that will help with cooling as well.

There is a car here in Houston a C55 that has the Co2 system. He has the purge feature installed right at the top of the hood in the grate. So right before a run (or to show off) he blasts a quick jet that shoots right over the windshield. Looks really neat.

Would nitrogen work well in an application like this??? Even more cooling?
