Looking to lease 2005 C55

A fellow Bimmerpost member here...looking to get my dad a C55 05 with 41,000 miles.

Heres the link to the car -->

http://swapalease.com/VehicleSearch/...hicleID=449757
Basically the car is going to be 20 thousand miles past its warranty by the end of the lease and I was just wondering whether or not he is going to run into any trouble with the car.

Any input would be great and I'm happy to finally be on this site

The C55s have been pretty reliable compared to some of the other Mercedes. If anything you might get an electronic gremlin here or there but nothing major.....

Thanks for the info man.

What about pricing? I know they now sell for anywhere between the low 20s and high 20s with these miles.

get an extended warranty you just never know what could happen and you dont want to be SOL with this car. the motors are fairly bullet proof.

Personally, I'd pass on a lease on one of these. Pricing info is low 30's to high 20's depending on condition and options. Keep looking around and you'll find a better deal, esp. with the warranty running out soon. In fact, there are a couple for sale on this board.

Yes, on any German car an extended warranty is always advisable..

that's a pretty good lease price, but you could easily get a NEW bmw 335i for $100 more and not worry about maintenance or warranty work.

but that said, the c55 is AWESOME

and btw i would NEVER EVER own an amg car without an extended warranty. since presumably that person is the original owner and you are a private party buyer, you should be able to buy into the Extended Limited Warranty offered by MB (there is a mileage and/or time after which you can't get it, so consider it up front). it's expensive, but i think worth it. but it's like probably 4-5k i'm guessing.
