This was what "LET Tune" told me

I do not think you were defensive at all. I hope you feel better. I just did not want someone to think if they go out and fork out the cash for a pulley headers and a tune they are going to walk a 996 TT. I bet they would be pretty un happy after dropping that cash and then getting handily beat. That again is with a capable driver in the 996. A 996 TT is just in another league than a stock or currently modded C32 power wise and handling. Again bad driver/wrong gear for the TT and it would be a different story if the C32 was modded. I think with all the new things happening in the C32 world from LET and Code 3 the C32 will get there. Once these new projects get finshed up for the C32 and these packages go up for sale I am willing to bet you will be one of the first in line . You love power as much as I do.
I remember a couple years back I was in my 540 6/sport that had exhaust, intake, tune and M5 diff. It was pretty quick car. If I had to guess it was probably on par with a stock C32. I was pacing this guy in a 996 TT just checking his car out. He pointed forward and I said yes. I hit it and he hit it and literally left me like I was standing still. This was my first and only encounter with a TT 996 and I was shocked. I know they were fast but did not realize they were that fast. The sound I cannot even describe. It was AMAZING. My V8 with exhaust sounded like a sewing machine.

+1, you ought to drive the S model, even quicker than the std 996TT. Stock, its a mid-11s car. AWD, almost 500 HP. Bigger Brakes, Sport Chrono Std nt eh S model, Overboost availability for 15 seconds. Its an amazing car and next on the list after an 2006 E55.

Sorta like this? I know it is not a 996 but thought I would share. This 997 is bone stock engine tranny etc, all it has done is twin GT30R and clutch sits, 19 inch HREs with toyo888s Enjoy

178mm + C3P S/C pulley allegedly is more boost than 185mm crank pulley with stock S/C pulley (others smarter than me have done the math to figure out that calculation).
Agree completely with loungn14 - cnchung's mods should put a C32 with an exceptional driver into the mid 12's range.
Don't doubt cnchung's encounter happened for a second... however, equal drivers, stock 996tt will walk a heavily modded C32 IMHO. Don't forget - 996tt is potentially a 9 second car with a lot of $$$ but without requiring a motor swap or anything.

My friend wanted to go for a run with me. He has an svt cobra with a pulley. Its like 04/05. Not the newest body style.
So we went for it and despite the 430ish horespower and 4.6 v8 under there I was maybe 1/4th of a car length behind him.
His comment was priceless.
"I didn't expect you to keep up."

Another time I had fun with a Porsche was something like a RUF yellow bird, but i doubt it was a true yellow bird as that beast pumps 460+ crank horses, should blow me in a split second.
We started from a medium long left turn which I am too famillar with, went on to the straight, we kept pretty much the same distance but i started to pull a bit later, due to traffic and the possibility of laser guns, i slowed down, the P catched up and we both thumbed up.

Thanks for sharing this. The C32 is truly remarkable.

That was not making since to me either unless the P car had a real bad driver. I looked up stock 996 TT and drag times had one at 12.2 in the 1/4 and I am sure they are quicker than that. I thought the fastest recorded 1/4 for a C32 was in the mid 12's. Correct me if I am wrong. Even with both pulleys, headers and tune in a C32 it would not beat a 911 TT never mind leave it by 2 cars. That is of course with 2 equal drivers.
I know the C32 can be fast but I did not think a C32 with a pulley and tune would walk or even come close to beating a 996 TT.
If I am wrong please let me know.

nice kill. however i might point out that the gentle man above me that i quoted, has a good point. possibly the other car needs the driver mod lololol
