DYNO: dual exhaust & Dyno: C55 vs C63
So I got my Dyno today and pick moddest 5.9whp over the last run since going true dual exhaust. Last run was 336.4whp and today 342.3whp Not bad I must say. Was hoping for more but it is what it is.
Also There was a C63 in the shop that was having RENNtech headers and ECU installed Who's ever C63 that was at DYNO-COMP today (white with blacked out everything) Very nice!. IF its a member of this board's car It sounds real good.
We compared my modded C55 vs the C63's stock Dyno Numbers and I just about crushed it. Granted my car is modded so it doesn't even count just cool to see. I'm sure the C63 when its back on the dyno will be around the 380whp range on a dyno dynamics dyno.
anyway here are the numbers

this was from a c63 that was in the shop when i arrived. that was its baseline dyno I know it seems hard to swallow for a car that claims 451hp I was told most of them are like that in the 330whp range. I also asked what the 135i puts down and I was told 280whp but they have seen 265whp as well. No to mention the 135i that was just in at dyno comp pucked up 100whp from an ecu and intake mod. for 380whp! WTF!!! My C55 has never been on anything but a dyno dynamics dyno so it would be cool to see what other dynos say.
Not sure if i would say Dyno dynamics read low, but closer to whats true. IDK?? that just what ive been told.

The Air fuel looks good, I never get a print out of it. I just look at it on the computer screen and it if it looks normal Im cool with it. Renntech will do a race fuel map for me but i have to run race fuel all the time so its not in my best interest to do that. I tried to email renntech but to no avail about a custom map though.

Today on the dyno I melted a plasitc spark plug wire cover and that caused some smoke as the plastic dripped onto the header It got me thinking about some new wires. even though it was only the plastic wire cover that melted something made it very hot. I thinking exhaust cut outs and carbon fiber driveshaft, LSD, and i'm done for a bit. I will get to 350whp one way or an other All I know is the thing makes a wicked noise and goes like a bat out of hell.

LOL, I just noticed this was in Scottsdale.

Fantastic numbers Hooley!
Dyno Dynamics does not read low... it reads TRUE, it is dynojet that reads HIGH. It is important to understand that distinction, but in the interest of not turning this into a DD vs. DJ thread gonna stop there.
I agree there is alot more power to be had out of these 5.5L NA engines and this is just some of the proof. Great results.

whatever, you know what I meant.
For reference, a stock E92 M3 got 313hp on a dyno dynamics dyno here (it was in Australia but you get the idea)
As far as I can tell, they were probably pulling your leg on that stock 135i OR it was a factory freak. Stock 135i's should be putting down 240 on a dyno dynamics dyno.
PS - unless hooleyboy stopped to get some octane booster, this was all done on 91

I thought the LET 135i's dyno numbers where high for a motor rated at 306hp but they have had lots of 135i and 335i's pulling 265-280 stock whp! on their dyno dynamics dyno. Crazy as it may sound its true i guess.
Next dyno run i will roll in on fumes and get race fuel and see what kind of numbers i can put down. I've seen my car on race fuel before on a dyno and it was good for 10+whp! I always run some race fuel at the track but still ant braking and personal records.
