depending on what your shop is going to charge you, for your C55, i would guess, 8 to 12 hours.

You can get the install done by either Richard at dyno-comp, or john at goodspeed.

What about the SLK32 -- same housing? Will the QDF7V work?

From my understanding its a different casing, I believe someone tried to do the swap and you needed to buy the rear casing, axle and a few other items.

I will look for the information for you.

I'm not completely sure, but I can find out in a few hours.

Most C32, and C55 owners who have done the LSD would say this is one of the best mods you can do especially if you track or do canyon runs in your C. Your not going to get a performance upgrade per say in terms of ad more power then what you originally had, however what you will be able to do is utilize all power, to both wheels.

i'm sure a few guys here who have installed the quaife, can give you there own personal testament.

Both the C320 and SLK32 have a smaller transfer case than the C32 and E55. C32 uses a 210mm ring gear in its case and C320/SLK32 use a 195mm ring gear in their case. I tried to do the swap and I couldn't get the electronics to work. Mechanically, everything was fine; Quaife worked like it was supposed to. So I had to put the old case back in with a Phantom Grip.

I still have all the parts from the swap lying in my garage.

Pshek,
Can you give me a bit more detail on your statement:
"I couldn't get the electronics to work. Mechanically, everything was fine; Quaife worked like it was supposed to."

What electronics were not happy? TC, ESP, both? Did the car go into limp mode?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
KrzyFast

TCM gets wheel speed data and compares it to the transmission output speed sensor. It saw that the speed was way off because of the gear change ratio change and threw a code, which puts the engine in limp mode. I tried programming for the gear ratio change, but it didn't work.

Mercedes-Benz W203 C230k
Guys! I need your advice. I've got a 2004 C230k (restyling version) with manual gearbox and I've just ordered a Quife differential for C32. Will it fit and work properly? Any additional parts needed?

What's with the passenger headlight turning on coming into the first turn?
