MY car got keyed!!!!!!!!
The unthinkable happened to me this morning. Some stupid mother fuxcker keyed my car!!!!!! They keyed my whole left side of the body in total of 5 feet long.
I just couldn't help if i should report this to the police and claim insurance or just pay for the paint job out of my own pocket. Any of you have past experience? If i file a claim, will my insurance sky rock next year?

I feel for you man, I think I would cry if that happened to me.
In terms of insurance etc, I know that in New York (where I live), the police would be able to do a report for Criminal Mischief, and its possible that if you filed the claim through insurance they would need a report number to process the claim. In terms of whether your rates would go up, the answer is almost certainly yes, because any time you make a claim your rates go up, as virtually all insurance companies give substantial "no claims" discounts.
Basically what I would suggest is contacting your insurance company, pose them the hypothetical situation and see how much your rates would increase then compare that to how much it would cost to repair out of pocket.

Got keyed last year. Called the insurance and report it as vandalism. Damaged was over 2200 dollars but only paid deductibles. I know how you feel and i was extremely upset.

I doubt Comprehension will increase your premium at all a long while back I went to see a flick and once out I noticed what seemed like white thin lines on the door I was opening well needless to say it was keyed gang signs on over 98% of the body...I reported to local cops and insurance covered it...I only paid detuctible of $250 then and Insurance rates didn't change...go the claim way.

sorry man, the day it happened to me i was looking to find that person to beatim up .
I called insurance and they fix it in a month and my insurance went up after 6 but just $20 more.

I'm sure they will cover it (unless u don't have full coverage) but i'm not sure if u have to pay anything becuase u don't have police report .

I have had the same done to my c32 a few months ago. It's funny how thin the line of insanity borderlines obsession. It's just like love, for my car I am really able to drive a 9-iron through someones skull if I ever knew who did it to me.

dont worry, my car got keyed 2 weeks ago because of my ex girl..........its the second time its happened to me this year....last time it was the opposite side....i filed a police report....called insurance and took it to the body shop....paid my 500 deductible.....the insurance premium will not go up, cause your not at fault.............trust me my insurance hasnt gone up and its happened to me twice, 6k worth of paint went into my car.

No, i don't know who did it. If i see anyone who keys my car, i will kill him on the spot.
