New S4 with 3L supercharged Dual Clutch
Basically this car has everything I would want on an entry level luxury sport sedan.
3L supercharged 330hp and 325tq
7sp dual clutch
AWD
nice interior
new exterior is great!
the weight is down vs the old s4 v8
and plenty of ways to improve power.

not a bad car at all..
From a performance only point of view.. the Bmw still will be the best car.. but overall this car everything you would want.
If only BMW would of added the Dual Clutch for the 335i in North America for 2009, I might hold it a bit higher than the Audi.
But they only are going to provide the dual clutch in Europe for now.

nice styling, but a bit too sedate for me. I rather like the aggressive appearance of the C63. I wonder if they really are running the S/C at maximum limits. If so, there might not be that much extra HP left to upgrade it's motor with, like with what we have with our different pulleys. Considering it has less HP than our cars had stock, it looks like we'll be pulling on them for now!

Why not go with the S5? That is a car that I've had my eye on since their release. Still doesn't have the power potential of ours and definitely not a C63, but in black with blacked out windows, that S5 is one sexy B!

Their just stupid, thats how I see it. They just HAD to be different. In fact, I don't think there are any S4's that are left stock? they all end up in RS territory, or above it, and lots end up with the RS cosmetic upgrades too (Drool Smiley).

At first I was a bit surprised that Audi deviated from a turbocharged setup (as in past cars) to a supercharger, but this looks to be a nice package, especially with the addition of a dual clutch. But nearly 25 PSI of peak boost to make 333 horsepower? Interesting to see what the aftermarket will hold for this car.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
in the past the s4's use to compete against m3's like the old b5 s4's. They have since rebranded the trim levels.
The S4 is suppose to compete against the 335i and the rs4 is suppose to compete against m3's. S is suppose to be sport and rs is suppose to be racing sport.
They said the rs4 will remain a v8 to compete against the m3 and c63. There not sure if its going to be turbo or not yet.

Considering the NA was putting out somewhere around 420hp stock, a turbo version would be killer! Not to mention a sweet tuner car with huge potential.

the RS in my eyes is the same route that the Black Series is doing. Just my opinion.

They should have said 10 psi boost, or better yet 10 psig, but 24.7 psi sounds a lot sexier. It's kind of like turning your amplifier up to 11.

Their copy writers got a bit carried away. The technically correct thing to have written was 24.7 psia (pounds per square inch absolute). Atmospheric pressure is around 14.7 psia depending on where you live elevation-wise. 14.7 psia is the same as 0.0 psig (pounds per square inch gauge). In most cases where pressure is mentioned when they say psi they really mean psig.

At least now, owners of these cars won't have anything to complain about when it comes to extracting more power. The number one complaint concerning the old S4 was the overall lack of aftermarket support for the 4.2.
