A MB high performance driving event is taking place at the Laguna Seca RaceTrack for the coveted SL65 Black Series.

dont get me wrong, this sounds great and like a great way to spend a day, but what happened to a bay area, a local meet?

edit: to be honest, i thought this was going to be one of those meet up at some parking lot, check out each other cars, grab a bite to eat... call it a night.

I'm sorry, I have to be up in Fresno that same weekend.

P.S. I'm more inclined to have a get together for a couple hours and head home myself too.

Thanks for putting this together!

I was expecting the same as well, I live up in sonoma, so i don't mind driving a 1 1/2 hours or so to like oakland or near the airport in SF but Monterey is way to far for me.

Don't move it on my account or the other few members who can't make it. Some of us thought that this would be a more local meet (Norcal) not a MidCal meet. There is plenty of other places to meet. We can take some great pictures near the Oracle buildings down south, There is also go-karting, dave n busters.... hooters/bar (Don't tell the wifes )number of activies we can endure locally. I personaly want to look at each others cars for a bit and discuss different mods with everyone... but as this is one User's opinion and or thought about this meet

I'm in the San Jose Area. I enjoy driving down to Laguna Seca, Monterey Rolex, AmerLeMans, Mazda). But, somewhere in the mid-peninsula would be perfect. Maybe even at The Great Mall.
