I need a part number.....

Hey guys. I have an SRT6 and was installing my 240 modified intake plenums and found that the gasket between the SC and the throttle body is split. I have an exploded drawing of the SC and this part is not on it. I also just talked to the MS parts guys and they dont know either(but they are still investigating). Here are pics of the part. This is bolted right on the back of the line pipe on the SC and then the throttle body bolts onto it.

https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/265987-240m3srt-s-moddified-intake-manifolds-available-gain-32hp-25tq.html

Last week I took the part to the MB part dept and showed them the part and the drawing. I gave them the part number I thought it was and they just told me who had one, not that the PN wasnt what I was holding in my hand. I now have a brand new line pipe and no gasket.

Please help me find this part. I want to go to the track!!

Thanks,
MikeR

I wonder why the hell they use that thing? The C32 doesn't have one as the throttle body is bolted directly to the supercharger inlet. I wonder if the SLK32 uses that part.

I just tried the TB on the new line pipe and it is a perfect fit. I wonder if I can get away without it. I will go see if it causes any other interferences. Then all I would need is that little flat paper gasket you guys have. hmmmmmm....

I was actually going to suggest that you replace the entire inlet so that you wouldn't need that thing, but didn't know if you would be willing to spend that much money.

For the gasket, try number 9 in this diagram.

There is a difference in the line pipes. Here are pics of the line pipe, 1121400512 and the back end of the SC on the SRT. Note that the hole pattern is different. The gasket that I need lines the throttle body up to the same orientation as the new line pipe. I dont think I want to swap out the back end of my SC.

Update : This gasket/flange seems not to be used in the SLK32/C32...

I guess another option would be to try the SLK32/C32 line pipe that I now have and see if it would fit. The angle where the throttle body mounts looks to be pointing up a few degrees more. My other option is to machine myself a spacer out of aluminum that replaces that dang rubber gasket. Then I would have to take the SC apart and no more gasket to break. I havent checked with the Chrysler folks yet to see if they have a clue. Wait....we already know they dont have a clue..... I'll still ask.

Are there any databases of part numbers for our cars out there? I've been looking for P#'s for a number of different little pieces recently and haven't been able to find jack...

Part number found....

I have finally found the part number for this dang gasket. It is call the Air Fuel Sensor Gasket, P/N: A1121412480.

It is odd that it dosent even show up on the SLK32 diagram. Wonder which MB car it fits.

Thanks for the help.
