I just put those same F1's on my rears. I've about 800 miles on them and so far they seem great. Why not just match them up to the fronts?

i had GS-D3 on 19's before. one of the best performance tire around with good tread wear rating.

i have PS2 right now on the C32 and P-Zero S on the C350. I'd say currently these are the top two in terms of performance, but they're also very pricy.

IMO you can try the new Eagle F1 asymmetric. have heard good things about them.

I had the F1 before, and I was happy with them, but now I put on the Yokohama Advan Sport....And wow, what a differance! So much better...

I have KDW2 on my car and i'm very happy with it.
Downside is, it really blows when its cold and doesn't get good traction on cold / rainy day...

But on a nice summer day, it grips like hell.

I have Nitto Invo's - they're great as well. Have also heard good things about the new Dunlop D1 Star Specs, but they probably wear very quickly...

If you're only getting new rears, I'd highly recommend just getting the same tires as you have on the front. Mismatched fronts and rears can not only have quirky performance/handling, but also just looks cheap/weird (IMHO). Since you're already using a great tire on the fronts, why not keep a good thing going?

I've been using Nexen N3000 tires on my cars for the last 4-5 years, and love them. They give great performance/grip, roll extremely quiet, and are dirt cheap.

Im going to just go with the goodyears , I was really thinking about going with the PS2 but I guess mixing is not a good idea . Thanks for all the suggestions.

I had Bridgestones S03s (discontinued) on my old 3-series, then I switched to GS-D3 and I hated them. Sidewall was way too soft on GS-D3s as compared to Bridgestones; will never buy Goodyears again. Also had Continentals ContiSportContact (total crap) and Pzero Rossos (acceptable). Stick to Bridgestones, I do and love them...
My $0.02...

the GS D3's have now been replaced by the Asymmetrics, which as Frank stated have had some very good reviews and are a definite improvement,

I have them all round and love them so would happily recommend them,

Also having different tyres front and rear is fine, its mixing tyres on the same axle which IMO would be a bad idea

Are they Falken Azenis RT-615? I want to try those. Should offer very good traction, but short tread life since it's only 8/32 tread depth. Good for the track though.

Tires

The Bridgestone Fusions are a great all round tire. I had them on the C36 with really good results. Great in dry and one of the best in the wet. On the track you would swear they were r-compound the way they held the corners. I am sure there are others. I have Perellis on the C32 and they do not perform any better than the Fusions.

I've tried the Toyo R888 and they are a great tire for track and road course. Haven't heard much about the Invos...G/L and let us know what you think.

With any track biased tire, it needs to be in warm environment so the benefits of this tire in cold weather are really not realized until you really warm them up really well. The wet grip is ok in light rain or damp conditions (but be cautious)...forget about standing water...stay home or drive like your keeping up with Mrs. Daisy.

If your in Cali or west coast state with very little rain, the Toyo's are a great tire.

yeah i have them on my car currently. There the value line for continental, but they come out of the same factory as the continentals do.

There better then the dunlops i had. There pretty good in the dry and wet for daily driving. But you do feel its economy roots when your taking to the car at the limit during track and canyon runs.

The Nitto Invo is great if you don't use them at the track, they don't handle well at higher temps, my rubber was completely wasted and I was stubborn enough to keep driving on them for another year before switching to yokohama advan s4 (all seasons for where i am).
