What wiper replacements you all using?

I did a search on wiper blade replacement c32 and came up with zippy. Is it better to replace the entire wiper blade arm or just the rubber part? Mine are showing age and need to replace. Thanks all.

I just went to the local Pep Boys and bought the generic 22" and 24" rubber blades. I wanted to keep my original aero-wing on the driver's side arm.

They work just fine.

Just curious, what particular brand blades you got for the driver side. I picked up a bosch at Kragen's but could not install the driver side blade because it did not have the right threaded tabs to mount the wiper spoiler. I'ts $28.00 at the stealership and they say you can only get the C32 OEM replacement driver side wiper (which includes the spoiler) from MB and there are no after market blades available specifically for the C32s.

2002 wiper blades are the old-school design, 2004's are definitely the newer design (similar to Bosch Icon blades).

www.autohausaz.com has OEM blades for very reasonable prices. If you can wait, I'd just mail order 'em if I were you.

When you say 'old school design', are you pertaining to the wiper blades or the actual driver side arm assembly that the wiper spolier mounts to.
Of course, if one can purchase new blade technology, one will not hesitate to avail of it. BUT, will it fit the OEM arm assembly. To change the blade on the driver side, you need to remove the spoiler. If the replacement blade does not have these threaded tabs, you have nothing to mount the spoiler back onto. And yes, I was able to install the blades, but, could not mount the spoiler back on without those threaded tabs.
I think only the C32s in the W203s have a driver side wiper spoiler.

Sorry if I was unclear. When I said "old school design" I simply meant the wiper blade variety that has a blade insert, and several hinged points of contact on the arm. Yes, these also have a spoiler on the driver's side - my understanding is this is primarily to improve function at autobahn speeds. My 2002 MY C230 Coupe had these wiper blades as the OEM parts (with a Dr. Side spoiler).

In 2004 (perhaps 2003) MB switched to the newer wiper blade design that has a blade insert in a flexible, continuous radius blade arm. It looks very similar to the blade in this picture:

Plug that part number into ebay and buy it. Most places were $$ and ebay was $33 or so.

I got the Bosch but the passenger side was rubbing the window trim on the side so I replaced the 22" with a 21" Bosch and now no rubbing.

Have someone installed these Bosch 3397118933 blades on a 2002 model?

I'm having a hard time figuring this out, maybe the arms are different.

Thank you.

If I remember correctly, the 2004 models came with the updated wiper design. I noticed Frank did his and he has a 2002 so I wanted to double check if I need additional parts to make the conversion.

Thanks again - Carlos

I got replacement Valeo wiper blades for my C55 from Autoparts Wharehouse. Same as OE work just fine (pt. no.203 820 1545). Something like $15 each. Yes, these are the ones with clips shown in your left picture.
