Got into an argument with a new 550i...
I didn't know they were that powerful. Guess I have to study up on my adversaries.
But it was a dead heat. Neither pulled on the other. This happened on the 5 while I was on my way to Northern California.
I should be proud of my car for a dead heat fight, right???

They tend to do 13.3's in the 1/4 so it is a drivers race frankly. So a stock C32 like yours did pretty well. I think they're about 360hp or so.
I've always wanted to race my E550 against my C32 though since I swear the E pulls harder from like 30-80.

C32 AMG
Whats the torque rating on those? (thinking out loud and will look it up now) It must have more than the 32 because if HP is equal, the C weights less I would think and should be quicker?
I wouldn't be proud of a dead heat personally, unless it was an "M". We have an "AMG" and that 550i is a standard ride. Their nice, but still a dime a dozen and not really a performance car.

360 hp/360 ft. lbs.
6 speed manual, but it is heavier. C32 has 349hp stock

But I dunno, there are a lot of "standard rides" out there that can beat our cars. Nearly 8 years of tech will do that.

+1 , neighbor here has a black one and we leave for work at same time (550i), so when we got to the 4 lane , I dusted him pretty good.(2-3 cars) Its about a 13.5 car at 103-104 stock, so its on par with a "stock" C32. He came over that night and asked, "what the hell do you have in that thing." I said, just a 6 cylinder. He used to drive a C230.

+1, thats what my corporate neighbor said with his Vette too. WTH!!
Honestly, except for a newer Z06, Viper or a W211 or Marko , there's very few cars on the road that I fear................... I'll even run a stock W211. Can't say I'll win but its a helluva battle and usually comes down to driver skills and who gets the digg.

After looking at stock C5 ZO6 well thats gonna be a tall order also. You will have to average mid 12s quite alot to take one out or just run into an inexperienced over confident driver and the chances are alot better. A W211 owner may fair alot better in stock form against a stock C5 ZO6

Wow Glenn pretty tall words...the only car I seen barely beat a W211 stock was Jerrys' old C32 which was heavily modded and NOS...I serioulsy doubt your mods equal the power Jerry had. Keep in mind the stock trap speed on a W211 is around 115mph...I understand your not fearing them but don't get too confident cause a race with one will sadden you....try a C5 ZO6 you may have a better chance but doubt it.
