I would do a black cap with AMG on it, instead of the CF (would hate to just have a single CF trim piece on the interior!).

Would also like to see engraved examples? Can something as intricate as the circular logo be done?

Do you just use a 3m type adhesive to attach it onto the shifter cap?

No. It came with its own glue already applied. Just peeled the cut metal emblem off the clear vinyl sheet it came on and stuck on the shifter knob. Its all one piece, but you can easily remove portions of it. It fits better if you remove the thin cut metal surround/circle before applying. The knob itself serves as a better surround.

I really like the look of the AMG Performance Studio shifter for the W204

Could we possibly get something like that or would the W204 shifter fit the W203?

Is this AMG sticker still available?

Otherwise, I like the look of the carbon fiber cap from DCT, but I agree that introducing just one element of carbon fiber into the interior won't match well.

While the CLK MB star shape looks like, anyone have other suggestions for an ///AMG look?

Here's that AMG emblem sticker, which I ordered a few days ago, and should be installing before Thanksgiving

Other members have suggested removing the thick adhesive pad it comes with, and instead applying super glue and directly attaching it so it's flush on the cap.

You and me both should have it installed before thanksgiving.lol I actually spoke to jerry (the guy who sells them on that website) and he even insisted that I take off the thick sticky layer when I get it. He knows that most people take it off anyways.

I got the same one from Jerry. I removed the adhesive tape and used gorilla glue with painters tape over the emblem to hold it in place overnight. Looks really good.

True... however... mine's in! However, you'll surely beat me to the install since I'm about to go out of town for thanksgiving... But once I'm back on Friday, can't wait to get to it!

Did you remove the adhesive as discussed earlier in the thread? What did you use to attach it, crazy glue?

@terrymcg: It is clear coated, so hopefully it will last long.

@YOgun27: Yes, I removed the supplied adhesive and used a glue that I found in my wife's crafting toolkit. I'm sure super glue will work just fine.

Thanks! lol no I actually bought it like that off ebay. Took a while to find it, but it's there. Thinking about sanding and painting the trim of the outer ring on the shift knob black now.

Mine didn't come with the tire shine, just the brush that I gave to my grandpa.
