Shifter cap is TOO PLAIN
My fellow C55 owners, have we made any progression on upgrading the plain/empty look on the head of the shifter?
I know most benzs have the MB 3-star emblem, but is there anyway we can get an AMG emblem or one that says C55? would getting custom stickers be the easiest and most cost-effective way to upgrade the empty cap?
it's just too plain... look forward to your thoughts & suggestions! thx

If somebody were to make a Black Series style shifter in the aftermarket, they would fly off the shelves. I know I'd be all over it. My factory shifter with the tacky "C32" sticker over the top is rubbed off and peeling. I would rather have a plain top than this POS design.

Depending on your budget, you may be able to order a real AMG shift knob one through a euro dealer (or mbenznl). Just be prepared for sticker shock.
IIRC, there are a couple of different styles available for the W203. Here's one:

I think folex might be burned out from his 5.5/3.2 badge experience. It was a case of "no good deed goes unpunished". He had people badgering him constantly about getting things finished/delays/complaints.

JBSPEED does a lot of carbon work. He might be able to hook us up with something like that. Problem would be getting our hands on a donor shifter to copy....

we should try to come up with something... there's enough of us on here with stock shifters that are probably unenthused about their appearance!!

If we prepaid Folex...think he'd be willing to do it (whatever "it" may end up being)? I think last time he ended up loosing a lot of money because I bought mine a lil later than I thought I would and asked if he had any left, he said there were a ton left...I mean, he is a trustworthy member.
Would love to just have a glossy AMG Affalterbach cap that would stick over our plain aluminum ones. Pretty simple I would think, but I ain't no engineer.

Folex is a good guy, I have his side badges and love them. So, I'd pre-pay to have him make a shifter upgrade ala BS. Let's make a list to see if he'll bite.
