F/S: Black Series Flat bottom steering wheel and airbag

Up for sale is my C63 AMG flat bottom steering wheel and airbag.

I installed it on my R129 to see what it looked like (but never tightened it).

I bought it for alittle over $1200. Will sacrifice for $980 Shipped.

Here are some pictures:

Is this a bolt on to my 05 C55, with working electronic steering wheel audio controls and paddle shifters? or does it need significant coding at the dealer to work?? Let me know.
Thanks

Ditto. What cars will this work on as a "plug and play" and if not a quick swap, what is needed to make it work?

I heard something about the paddle shifters in a c55 having two wires and newer cars paddle shifters having 4 wires. I guess a phone call to mercedes would be in order. If it did work it would be a nice up grade for sure.

There are more buttons on this steering wheel than our steering wheel.

Maybe a silly question, but will the airbag still work?

My C43 has no wheel buttons so I could wire those buttons to do some cool things

Lol could see a valet hit the phone pickup button that activates a nitrous 150 shot.

Very good questions and suggestions (especially the NOS 150 shot)

I have access to the EPC online database, so tonight I will look through it to see which Mercedes models this wheel will fit.

I currently have a w203 steering wheel on my car. Getting the horn and airbag to work was a sinch. I got the appropriate wire conectors I needed at my local Napa.

This steering wheel feels and looks great.
I'm sure who ever buys it will be extremely happy with it.

I've done some research and discovered that this steering wheel will fit pretty much any 1999-present MB.
The harness would need to be modified in order to make the horn and airbag function properly (very easy).
Am willing to assist anyone with installation.

And, of course, it is a direct bolt-on to any and all 2008-2009 C-class models.

Thanks for looking

You probably know my friend Mike (mertd93) with the Black Supercharged SL500.
He did the install on my car and he's willing to assist you with your installation.

If you want to pass by to do the install we can probably arrange to meet sometime next week.

PM me for directions.

look at the picture of the back of the steering wheel and note the COLLAR with NOTCH - that does NOT fit most of the MB models...it DOES fit the 204 (those all have that collar with notch)

how would this steering wheel fit pretty much any 1999-present MB???

MBenzNL makes a good point that I probably overlooked.
There's a possibility that those notches might interfere with installation.
Although if it were me I'd just dremel them off if they did.

Since MBenzNL confirms that this steering wheel will fit the 2008-2009 models without modification, its probably best to offer it to the W204 class guys instead.

Thanks for the info MBenzNL.
Sorry for any confusion.

the collar on the back of the steering wheel will crunch the SRS contactring and the steering angle sensor ring that is behind it on most of the MB models...it is a 204-only steering wheel...so I would def ofer it in the 204 section.
