i know alot of you guys recently upgraded to the 07 + mercedes key for our w203s. I was just wondering what dealer or site did you guys buy your key from? i am expecting to pay around $150 for the additional key.

I went to anaheim mercedes today, and they wanted $250

edit: i know there are lots of thread regarding the 07 key, but they are all from a year ago, and people didnt ever say exactly where they bought there keys from.

Here in the UK the price of the keys has jumped up by £50 taking the price to £200.

Also here in the UK once 6 keys have been issued they charge £50 to delete the lost keys and will not issue more than 6 keys, they also want some ID, the registration document and want to see the car as well.

are any of your keys cracked? If you get a key replaced under warranty they replace them with the 07 chrome keys.

Oh that's interesting, I'll have to see if the extended warranty covers that since one of my keys is cracked.

What if the old key has the plastic fully worn off on the lock door button only? Also if car is out of warranty?

If the car is out of warranty then you'll have to pay for one. The dealership here replace one of my keys and it was just barely cracked on top of the lock button

I called the dealership in downtown chicago which is the closest and most convenient for me they wanted $240. I called Knauz which is in lake bluff which is like 35 miles away and they handed it over for $177 I think so I went with them there was like a one or 2 day wait. They had it shipped over night from kentucky or something.
