Amazing what 4 more pounds of boost will do...

Got my Evosport Pulleys and IC upgrade installed last night and I must say it is well worth it. Probably the cheapest 35 - 40hp you can and will ever be able to add to this car.

Ran some G-tech times (0-60) today and actually saw some 4.87-5.15 sec. times. Several in the 4.8's. Never saw but 4.99 - 5.3 when stock. The 4.99 was a one time deal. Usually it was 5.1-5.3 stock. I know the G-tech is not the most scientific way to get numbers, but it is very repeatable and usually is only off by one or two tenths. So reduced 0-60mph by 1.5 to 2 tenths.

No longer need to brake torque to spin wheels. Just mash the gas and it will light the tires up every time. For those who think brake torqing is cheating.

3rd gear is where you feel the most power. Goes like a scalded cat. Pass cars on the freeway like they are standing still. This pull in 3rd gear is why I believe my 1/4 mile times will probably drop by at least 3 tenths. I will go to the track in the next couple of weeks to confirm.

I will try to get dyno numbers in a week or two.

Tim

.

I had Evosport do the install. They currently do not have instructions for the IC reservior mod so I had them install the whole setup with pulleys. Glad I did, it was much more complicated than you would think.

Thumbs Up for Evosport for providing cheaper alternatives to Brabus, Carlsson etc to gain more power

Zeppelin: Are you saying that you can't spin ur tires without brake torqing when the car was stock? My car has no problem doing that. How about everybody else? Any opinion?

Some can, others can't. It's more a variance between power, factory options, wheels, etc. I think it's safe to say, that with the new power, there would be a lot more spinning for you! Remeber, you can spin now, but the back doesn't come out on you yet!

Btw, our pulleys aren't only cheaper than some of the other tuners, they also give more power. Other tuners use a press-on pulley, attached to the stock crank pulley. This essentially creates a new pulley, however the crank pulley is still made of steal. As you know, steal is heavier than alloy, and thus harder to spin. Being that ours is easier to spin, it provides more boost. We also change the accessory pulleys to maximize power. Best of all, the ECU adapts for everything. The cars run strong and healthy (Vadim posted a/f ratios before). AND with the added IC reservoir upgrade, you increase the cooling capacity, which helps keep your C32 running strong, without becoming heatsoaked.

Thanks,
Ben

Sure you can! We're finishing up the installation instructions right now. Obviously, we can install the kit easier, as we've designed the kit, and done several already. But it's not a difficult installation for a shop to perform. It's only labor intensive.

For SoCal C32 owners, I would recommend coming to us, but not everyone has that luxury. We already have a shop in Northern CA setup for the installations, and I have a customer in Minnesota who may post his shop when his installation is complete.

Thanks,
Ben

It depends on what we mean by spinning the tires. When stock it would chirp the tires on flat grippy asphalt. On uphill or slicker asphalt it would spin them.

With the pulleys there is no comparison. Just mash the gas and the car will stand still just spinning the rears in a cloud of smoke. You will have to lift off the gas to go anywhere.

I have found that launching the car is easier with the pulleys. There is so much power available that you don't have to worry about the first 5 feet. Just ease into the gas and after 5 feet, or after crossing the slick crosswalk, nail the throttle and it will run sub 5sec. 0- 60 mph times.

With more air being used, more fuel must be used (or you'll run lean). I don't think accurate fuel mileage can be read until they get used to their new power and stop flooring it everywhere they go!

MPG won't reduce by much. The difference between my CLK430 before and after a supercharger as 2 mpg. The C32 will probably decrease by in between 1-2, depending on driving habits.

Gas mileage while cruising should stay the same since the supercharger clutch is not engaged. But like Mach430 says, it takes gas to make horsepower, so it will consume more fuel when your foot is planted on the floor. Seems like the gas guage is attached to the gas pedal, they both go down when you step on it.

Actually I do not think 93 octane with the stock ECU is necessary. 91 octance is just as good. Vadim at Evosport has tested 91 vs. race gas and noticed no difference.

Cool 1/4 times

Have zero up grades: Best time so far 13.404 @ 106.mph.
It was about 50 degrees this day.
Going to Renntech on 4th for pulley and ecu.
Hope to break into 12's ? Still can't run with Cannon's E55K.
12.teens @116mph and he wants more. He is looking at the Quad exhaust for free flow.

Not true. You only require one condition (not 5) for 4.5 0-60 times.

It is called Dyslexia. Then any 5.4 second run will satisfy the posters question.

I have decided to have my engine upgraded but I can't make up my mind which upgrade.
Several companies have offered me their programs.

So I am gonna wait to see some feedback from people who have their car tuned.

In my shortlist are : evosport, renntech and MKB
