Encounter with a Kleemann E50K at the highway.
a silver
E50K
with panoramic roof and full Kleemann specs ( Kompressor, 19’whells, suspension, breaks, aero kit, logos, Oval exhaust as the SL55K, etc) I would say everything. Such a beauty !!!!. The driver was going quick 75-85 mph in a 55-65 mph zone, and well, although I do not use to race at all
, or even try to involve people that I do not know, I wanted to know how my 256 whp and 250 wtq (at this altitude no corrected values) may face a monster V8 Kompressor here at 5,450 ft, knowing that at a 70-75 mph probable star race my Chipped&Filters C32 has not too much chance at those speeds. Perhaps, a short race I may have a better chance.
The owner of this colossal car was a very nice guy Two Thumbs Up !! and we hit it four times when the land was open for us. In short, I am really impress of my car and even more that I expected, to 70-75 to 120-130, believe it or nor dead even, 135 the E50K start pulling
smoothly and for sure after that more and more, but we were not able to go more due to the traffic ahead. My card under the hood at 135mph it was my no speed limiter and I decided to push as most as the conditions may have facilitated; nevertheless, it was not the case.Well, folks it was a wonderful experience to share, and thanks to the E50K driver!
The local Motor magazine test each other, fyr
Soft & easy launch both cars, then kickdown to the end.

As you may see a stock C32 until 200kph may be close to CLK50K, but after that hands down, the Kleemann is by far faster!
Now, there are two things to considerer in my story. First, my car is not stock, and second the E50K is a lot not only aerodynamically but also heavier than your CLK50K.
STI ? forget it.
E46M3 or E39M5 ? no way !
RS4/420 ps version, yes but a hard one.
Porshce 996 turbo, yes.
SL55AMG,oh ! yes.
E50K ........ as you said, won't be easy.
JamE55, I have a really nice relationship with Kleemann USA, and I spoke with one of my friends, really close from here Colorado Spring. The owner of the E50K has invested 100K on the car, including the vehicle of course, the interior of the car is heavy customized too!! Sweet! And if I see the car here at Denver or some of my trips to Colorado Spring, I will post pictures!
Further, I am waiting that people of MKB return from holydays because for sure, now with this outcome, I will purchase the headers, carts, and down pipes. Kleemann USA will install it

That wasnt anyone you were racing, that was the Director of Kleemann USA (Brandon I think his name is). He has a fully spec'd out E50K that cost him over 100K. I doubt he was truly racing you or else you would have more than likely gotten a better look at those trunk badges

.I do exceptionally recommend to do business with this people.
Even more, when I will get my MKB headers, cats, and down pipes, Brandon will installed for me.
Regarding if he was truly racing his car, well I am just telling my story, empty road, I hit three times and he could not pass me (75-120). Last, he has in front and at the same range he could not walk away. Further, if you have invested 48K in a MB OEM car and an AMG is close to you in this circumstances, what you may do C23K?
) racing a Supercharged V8 I would think you would have been smoked. Then again I know very little about cars in that aspect and only made an assumption (sorry if it was taken otherwise)
. From what I found the E50K puts out somewhere around 508hp, where as the C32 puts out 349hp (I dont know what you mods add but I think it would be safe to say no more than 40 hp). You are still looking at a 111hp difference
This is what I calculated when I made that assumption.By the way, I love your new steering wheel. Looks great with the interior of your car
When I was in the highway with the E50k, I had the same arguments that you just mentioned, that I am totally agree from the top to the end
. The E50K in the paper is far quicker and faster than my car, and even more at those speeds (70-120). On the subject of, I spoke last day with Brandom, and he told me that in this range of speeds the E50K may run similarly to my C32 “H&S/BMC” due to main three factors. One, the weigh differences, second the rear end of the E500 (longer 3rd and 4th than the C32 and slower shifting), and wheel/weigh lost differences E50K 19' vs. 17' mine.Well, the E50k at more than 125 was overtaking me, and that explains more things too. And finally, the lesson that I learned from this experience was that for be more competitive at those speeds I must mod more my car, by MKB or EvoSport. Why? Because my goal is to keep the C32 and get an SUV “preference” and ML55, and do not go for an E55 by now.
