All this talk of selling the C32 ... my car gives me the finger.
This morning I start her up, pull off the trickle charger and drop the hood. I hear a little clattering, like something plastic hitting the floor. It's the last 2 inches of the hood latch handle that pops in and out.

So the hood is closed and I have to figure out how to open it, and then repair the handle. I might be able to grab the end with some long-nose pliers. And I can probably fabricate an new handle with some sheet metal.
I should add that the handle is an extended length piece that came with my aftermarket grill (CLK-style), so I can't just visit the dealer for the part.
The moral of the story is to STOP talking about selling your car. Either do, or don't.

E55 handle will work, thats what typically comes with the clk grills.

Unfortunate....but still funny. You're a patient man. If I was already considering selling, I think that would have pushed me over the edge.

Sounds like what I did to the C55...

Update: Installed and back in business! Now I can open my hood to recharge my battery if the seat modules kill it. Amazing how problems start to stack up.
