E55, C63 OR E63???????????

I know that this might not be the best place to post this, but i wanted to ask you guys a question due to me holding your opinions pretty highly...I have finally convinced the GF to trade in her 2008 V6 Mustang in on a Mercedes. She wants either an E55 AMG or a C63 AMG. I was thinking about maybe an E63. I am asking you guys which one would you take, and which one has more kickass appeal. I know that it will end up being my car, because she likes my CLK430 (its Quartz Blue) and she will be driving that. I like both cars a lot, but which one has more options as far as modifications etc... I know that the C63 and the E63 have the 6.3L motor compared to the 5.5L E55. Just wondering what you think...and what color combo?? I like white on black a lot, but a black on black car would be nice too. thanks for your opinions.

hmm...now thats kind of tough...personally i like a bigger car that is fast as opposed to a bit of a smaller car. the E will definitely look more unassuming on the road and will have a bit of a classier appeal with a mean 5.5L. the C63 on the other hand is a heck of a car, 6.3L of course. but i think i liked the C63 a lot more back a few months ago for some reason. Look, i just love the E class and always have. i would definitely say go with the e55 and if you miss a bit of the speed or w.e...you can def do some things to it. i like the bigger presence on the road and i like the fact that at the end of the day 'tis a bigger car with a sweet AMG engine. I like that fact that its is classy and sporty...ahh idk i know i would pick it over the C...

at the end of the day youll be happy with either car!! they will both be fun bro

happy holidays!

E55, but I'm biased. I'd probably take anything that's force inducted just for the modification abilities. It's cheap HP.

EDIT: Oh and not only faster but it's also spacious.

I agree. You already have a CLK63 black which does just about everything better than the C63, so might as well get a cruiser like the E55. Plus you can get them for a song now.

I say c63 just cause its a smaller and more newer car .

If its power which your looking for more then e55 all the way.

Either way its going be a whole lot better than that v6 mustang LOL.!

Good Luck with your search!!!!

Edit:Lol I just looked at what kind of cars you got all are NA V8 maybe its time for a S/C v8 lol .

thats what i plan on doing to the c55...either kleemann, or a twin turbo setup from VRP...if it wasnt for me leaving for Iraq in 6 days, i would have already started this project..but i have to wait until i get back.

yeah, i have been pricing them..05 and up...starting at 30k and up...and a friend at the dealership told me 55k for an 07 E63. The reason i ask is because even though she will be paying the payments for the car...i will end up with it for some reason or another...just like her and her damn shoes having to match the dress...and the handbag that has to match the shoes and the dress that has to match well i guess her bra and panties? i just want to be "stuck" with something that i wouldnt mind having.

Yeah and assuming you aren't a cross dresser, this is finally something you can use when she's bored of it haha.

Or for 55k i can get a nice 07 E63 for and already have 507hp / 465pft and 0-60 in 4.3 sec.
35k for a nice 05'-06 E55 with 469hp / 516pft and 0-60 in 4.5 sec.?
55k-64k for an 08' C63 with 451hp / 443pft and 0-60 in 4.3 sec.?
hmmmmmmmm.

My pic would be the E63 all the way, instead of the E55. I feel some of interior materials and equipment on the pre 07 seem more dated and not as nice. I like the front nose job on the 07+ as well. Don't forget the reliability of the N/A V8 verses it's S/C'd brother. I've seen far too many with faulty S/C clutches including mine. Cheap and easily attainable HP is great, but when the clutch starts chirping, and jerking is gets annoying and embarrassing especially when the dealership wont do anything since its claimed to be a normal function of the part. Have you heard the cold start up on the E63? It's ungodly! Imagine that every morning! It's fresher, it's newer, and it has more warranty available!

I say give her one of your 4 existing MB's and buy something for yourself other than another MB. Life is too short to limit yourself to one brand.

If you take at look at some older threads started by the 55 guys you'll notice that there were advertising mistakes made on the E55 for the years you stated. There were individuals that posted dynographs with E55s with less than 100 miles on them that dynoed 500hp to the crank. Not as the 469 advertised. I'm sure there are a few E55 owners that can vouch for that. I'll look up the threads and post them when I'm in front of a computer.

i know this might pain you guys, but i was looking at a BMW M3 for awhile...but just looking...also at a nice used Viper or a Jaguar, and many other cars. I really want a Lamborghini Murcielago but i will need a 30k-35k downpayment and 1500 a month for 12 years....a little much for me right now. Hell she is paying for the car...and shes going to drive the 430...its a no brainer really...what would you suggest as far as another brand of car?

Heh no problem. Make sure you put your own opinion on the table. It's got to satisfy your daily routine! Good luck with your choice! I wish I had them . As far as another manufacturer Lamborghini is good. Specially the Gallardo LP 560-4. That thing is ferocious. It might be a little pricey, but not as much as a Reventon.
