Hood Emblem Help
Before i buy this i just want to make sure it will fit in place of the star on the hood.

It will either:
A) Sit in the recess (this is what you want)
or:
B) Cover the recess. You don't want this option as it will leave a mark on the paint-work over time.
Most of the cheaper ones (plastic with the wingnut fastener) don't sit in the recess. However, this could be an exception.

I think he means that he used it on his '05 C230K SS. To my knowledge, no W203 came without the protruding Tristar. That part in the link is an aftermarket part - you can tell my the wingnut design. The OE MB equivalent (e.g. for the CL) and our Tristar has a very robust spring-loaded twist design to hold it in place.
Not within the W203 - AFAIK, the recess is the same size across the models in the W203.
