AMG Supercharger retro fit thread

After some long delays with UPS, the AMG Supercharger has arrived. It looks to be in good shape other that a few minor flaws, that broke during shipping.

I figured the first step would be to start painting. Thought this would be the best time to do it since the think isn't even on my car yet.

It should be in the shop with in two weeks. when that happens I will hand my car over to Dyno-Comp for the install. Along with a bag full of cash.

I cant wait either. Just remember there are lots of very fast C55's out there that dont post on the forum.

To be honest with you member "C55asleep" is the one that got me inspired to make my car faster.

Slightly overboard I've said this a few time.. Its going to be hard to ever get rid of this car. I have some top secret plans in the works that are about a year out realistically. Until then lets just hope this project goes smoothly.

AMGSC C55 is coming along. I am getting a lot of custom parts coming in next week. With 9:1CR and 12 psi. I am looking for 500RWHP.

Vadim, quick question, Would pistons alone be enough to enough to drop compression, and is head work involved? IF your saying 500whp, I bet it could put down 550whp on race gas.

Custom pistons is enough, we are doing bigger valves and porting teh heads as well.

not stock.
so are you fitting this on a stock motor (lower the boost) or you are modifying the motor to run the amount of boost a stock 55K runs?

Hooley I am glad you have faith on these 55's. When I started modding there wasn't much to go from but step by step I ended up with a fiarlyquick 55 n/a. Well, I am happy that I made a difference in someway. Btw g/l on the project you'll suceed.

Hello Hooley,

Glad to see you are taking on the project, it will make for a truly unique C55. Rest assured you have the full support of AMS behind you so if you ever need anything just let us know. Should make for one hell of a project.

I cant wait till this project is done. I did my last dyno before the install today and put down 350.8whp and 361wtq. HP was down 5 Then I headed to the drags tonight and DA was around 1200ft (that very good for Arizona). All I could muster up was a 13.1 @108mph Traction was a bit of an issue to the point I was even racing my dyno mode so i could do a burn out.

After about 10 passes and all 13.1's and 13.2's I called it quits. I'm starting to think its the driver. Anyway evry day that passes is a day closer to competion. The car should be in the shop late next week or early the following week. Then I'm stuck driving my shops wacked out mini van for a few weeks.
