C32 Electric Cutouts

Hey guys....

Just thinking about doing an electric cutout on my exhaust system. Couple of questions...

1) Does anyone here with a C32 have electric cutouts on their car?

2) Many C32 owners here have tried many exhaust setups and have seen minimal to no power gains. Anyone attempt electric cutouts?

3) Should I expect to see gains by doing this?

4) Would it be better to do one single electric cutout after the y-pipe or two electric cutouts before the y-pipe? Before or after the secondary cats? Or even better.....in place of the secondary cats?

5) What size electric cutout would need to be used after the y-pipe in the case of going single electric cutout? The pipe I replaced my resonator with is a 3". Not sure if that matters or not.

6) What size electric cutouts would need to be used before the y-pipe in the case of going dual electric cutouts (perhaps in place of the secondary cats)?

I also have VRP Headers coming so that should help increase exhaust flow as well and maybe see more gains. But if I'm not going to see any gains (besides noise), I'm not sure I want to do it.

Don't do it. Electric cutouts are prone to failure after a short while. They require constant preventative maintenance, and even still, will start leaking. It's not worth it.

they are against the law here in AZ, But who cares so isnt my driving style. I say go for it. Just get a good shop to weld them in. Any exhaust shop will weld them up for you. You may not be happy with the sound, (guessing). I bet you would pick up some power though. If you do get them go with QTP cutouts.
