Track RIM's - C55
Currently I have Lorinser LM5 19" and want to have a second set of rims for this years autocross. Not looking for spacers and incorrect offset ; maybe stock wheels? Anyone know the weight on them?
The stock rims are heavy. I don't have the exact weights, but they are definitely not on the light side.
It is very likely that light weight rims like the Renntech Monolites would improve acceleration and handling given the decrease in unsprung weight.
Also, have you considered a "square" tire setup with the same size tires/rims front and rear? This allows for rotation of tires front to rear to even out tire wear, as my own experience has shown me that the outer shoulders of the front tires will wear much quicker than your the rears. That's what I plan to do with my 135i this season......get really light weight 17" rims with a square setup to minimize unsprung weight and to allow for tire rotation.
With a supercharged kleeman C55, my guess is that you will have more fun on a road circuit/track than a slow speed autocross. A stock C55 is already not a lightweight, and the Kleeman blower probably worsens the weight distrubtion......which means very slow tight corners will not be the car's forte.....rather, I find high speed tracks with fast sweeping corners is where the C55 REALLY shines. Having said this, I've only tracked with street tires, so having R compounds may really make a difference in those slow tight corners or in an autocross situation.

Last year SCCA moved the C32 AMG and C55 AMG into A-Stock from F-Stock...which is quite frankly insane... A stock has cars like M-Roasters, S2000's and C5 Vettes. While on a straight, we are more than capable in a stock capacity around descending turns, 180's and sharp 90 degree (tight) areas, even with race quality tires, there is no competition against a S2000.
SMII is street modified, which allows for Springs, Sways, Brakes, Forced Induction ...pretty much performance enhancing on top of stock setups.
I could be setup against a 600hp supra with full coilover, to a V8 Monster Miata... Big down force wings and extreme weight reduction puts you into other classes such as E-Mod

Responding to hooleyboy, I recently purchased the car with most all of the listed enhancements already put on the car. As soon as it warms up here I am going to take some pictures and offer a better glimpse at what the car has to offer. Provided it does not snow tomorrow I was planning to take it up to Chicago @ the meet there and get some fresh dyno numbers on it.
The car has 50,000 miles on it now, most of the work was completed @ 18,000 miles.
The dyno sheets that were provided to me show 537 RWHP - 554 RWTQ, these were completed @ 20k miles. I will see what 30k miles have done to the numbers... obviously i will be posting the results as soon as i get them

The previous owner said he only had it at the track one time and it posted a 12.097 @ 118MPH with a 2.05 60' - Michelin Pilot SP2; 1/4 in AZ
Again, I plan hitting Gateway International Speedway in March and see what I can accomplish, on the Hoosiers though

Wow, those are some beastly numbers, although those track results definitely do not do it justice.
I would love to see what that car can do in capable hands at the strip and on a road course.
”To use the catch-alls at the end of the specific car classes in Appendix A, start from Super Stock and work down the classes until a class is found.”
The Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG will fit into FS by the catch-all at the end (V8 sedans, pick-ups, and sedan derived convertibles NOC).
