Not sure whether a 4 pot front - 4 pot rear would work as they are not balanced. Think you might find the rear locking up, and as they are brakes safety of self, my family and friends come first so kept to the 70 / 30 principle as others have done.

Thanks. Makes a fantastic difference in terms of performance and looks. My next mod will probably be the CLK 63 front bumper retro-fit, but not sure if a 63 BS would work owing to wide front fender flares. If not, will stick with the standard 63 front bumper.

Has anyone does this yet?

dont think the flares would line up right, the lines are way different. a standard CLK63 is probably the way to go, on the brakes btw...look great

They look very similar, if not the same as the CLK 63 front rotors. Do Brembo make them for MB, know they do some. Those rotors looked as though they have been stored standing up outside somewhere for a while. A good pad will soon clean them up.

wow!! that looks super!

Just out of curiosity, is there any reason why the stock 4pot fronts cannot be moved to the back and not have the need for the slk55 rears?

Thanks!

I have the AMG OE 4 pot front calipers and the AMG SLK 55 PP 030 option 4 pot rear calipers and rotors on my C55 with no problem at all for over one year. No lock up. The actual braking force depends upon the diameter and total surface area of the pistons involved, not the number of pistons. This combination works fine on the C55. The total surface area of the pistons in the front OE calipers is sufficiently greater than that of the pistons in the rear 030 calipers to produce the proper 70/30 f/r breaking split.

I DON'T COME HERE ANYMORE
Looks like a great proj-why the EBC reds? Let us know how they work out-but I think there would be some other pads you'll find great happiness with!
Good work on the build-now that it stops-make it go fast!

4 piston front and rear works fine, had it on my 230.

clk63 bs bumper would require you change the fenders and the hood and tons of other parts. And the back would look like crap!

I had a post on here with the clk 63 bumper upgrade so there are pics to.

I have a set of 4 piston rear calipers on ebay now for sale.

Can I ask you where did you get them?

You mentioned £3200, how much was the front ones? and the rears?

I'm looking to buy a front set, but I'm afraid the rotors can warp sometime, and the replace is very expensive! (I don't know why, but I have a "thing" with warped rotors, and I'm very carefull while washing the car, etc)

Thanks
