Thumbs up AMG rims choices for the c32

I have seen some amazing AMG rims upgrades on this c32 website...

Could you guys give me some more infos about the largest rims we can fit without mods... (for example what are the largest front stock AMG rims we can fit?)

Thanks for your help Bros.

Stock stock AMG doesn't seem to exceed 18" (see attached PFD brochure).

I've seen a C55 with titanium grey 19" Style IV 2 piece wheels once, it also had the safetycar front-bumper. It was an official AMG delivery. Perhaps that one had fender rolling done to fit those wheels.

..I assume you run 235/35 in the front. No rim contact (skrap) in the rear? What ET do you have on th 10x19 rear wheels?

I am looking at the possbility to put the same rear tire dim. on my 19" kleemann rims when the snow is gone...

What size tire should I get for 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rears on a C32 without any rub or mods?

Do you experience any tire rub with your configuration?

I just purchased the same rims size. I went to a "bob and tom's" tire shop, told them the dimensions I needed and they looked at me as if I was crazy... they also quoted me some tires for 1600 bucks!! Does this sound right?

I saw a thread from a member that works for tirerack.com. Went to the site to see what they recommended and it noted 255/30/19 and 225/35/19 for the C32.

Can someone please shed some insight? Thanks!

What set-up is that? I figure I'll go with the 235/265 setup. Can't find anyone to give me a reason not to. Can't find anyone to oppose and go with the 225/255 setup.

From what I gather...

the 225/255 setup won't rub but may leave your the lip of the rim exposed, is recommended by Mercedes and other tire shops.

the 235/265 setup "should" work and "may or may not" rub, but yet seems like most members are going with.

I don't know about the rear at 265 but it may work as long as rim isn't more then 10" wide but I had 235 on OEM 17" rim and only under hard turning did it rub but with a taller rim it could be worse rubbing Don't presume no answer means it should work. I say keep researching til you get answer.

I know what you're saying... I have some rims 8.5x19 fronts and 9.5x19 rears in transit. Needless to say I am impatiently waiting!!!

I have done my homework and getting some greif from my gal for the hours I spend researching... However, it's the same conclusion... NO REAL ANSWER, and alot of MAYBE's. LOL... Tried PM'ing some members with the same rim dimensions, let's see if they help.

I fitted 18" AMG to my 2003 C32 (since sold) - looked better and rode a lot worse. I wouldn't go to 19" unless you drive on very smooth roads.

Thanks for your input... useful knowledge to those who live in cities with horrible roads like Chicago. However, the roads in TN are pretty good. This isn't my everyday vehicle, got my company 300 for that.

Too LATE for 18's... FEDEX reports Nashville office location! Should be here tomorrow!!!!

That's what I run. I have my rear fenders rolled and when I have 4 people in the car or when I corner hard it rubs a little.

I may try to go to a 255-35-19 and see how it goes. Right now I have my rear end a little higher than stock since I installed coilovers and it rubs a lot less, but I'd prefer it lower by another half inch.
