Mike, are you going to use the same style V8 Kompressor badge or are you going to slightly modify it or what? IMO, I always kind of thought it was cool how on some renntech cars (or is it all?) they sometimes have like a different color R...it always made it stand out a little more....seen it on an SL55 in Scottsdale and it does not look ricey like that. maybe a red K after 55? just thoughts

I say throw them on

Dragon AMG had the standard V8 kompressor badges on the sides and I really liked the way it looked. I think it isn't too over the top, but definitely will appeal to those (as a bunch of guys have already said) who know cars.

Before I was even aware of the different Mercedes AMG models I would see V8 Kompressor and I always knew it meant something ominous or menacing. A kind of "Don't F__ck with me or I'll eat you alive" type of thing! I think it's one of the coolest emblems ever (more so than 6.3AMG) and you've more than earned it so hell yes - do it it will look great!

I have the same dilemma Before I decided to go with the Kleemann S/C i bought the 5.5AMG badges and thought they looked awsome (Still do). But now that my car will have a S/C under the hood, i really don't know

I think i will go with these smoked out "V8 KOMPRESSOR" badges, i think they will to pretty nice on my silver E55 But then again, those 5.5AMG badges look really classic to my eyes. Guess i need to think it all over again

I think you should do as you said, go with the V8 KOMPRESSOR badges, and if you don't like them just remove them

How about 5.5 on one side and V8 Kompressor on the other?

I don't think it will change the world one way or another so the choice is yours based on how much you choose to give in to your peer group.

+1

i'm all about the sleeper appeal, but i also love the aggressive look to my car (CLK grille, flat hood emblem, bremma 19s, 5.5 fender badge). from afar people still have no idea what kind of car i have or how fast it is... CLs, S, E and new C classes are always caught on the highway looking at my car's side profile and trying to figure out what it is...... but within seconds i'm gone with a big grin on my face......

i think the 5.5 badge is still a sleeper move cuz it doesn't give away about the SC

I like the thought of the C55"K" on the trunk as well. That's my vote.
And even though you've "earned the right" to put the V8 Komp on the side, I would just stick with the trunk "K" badge...that's what they'll be seeing most anyway.
I think the thought of the side badges being a "deterrent" is bogus. If anything people see it and want to find out what it means.
PS with the low boost you will be running, there isn't going to be much SC whine to thwart off pesky ricers.
