Question C32 or 2003 CLK55 ??

One is SC
One is NA

(I drove C32 before, and i love the sound of SC,and also the engine is beautful, donen't like cheap plastics engine cover on the 2003 CLK55)

I don't care 4 doors or 2 doors.

i can't make decision on this two car.

please give some idea!!
:p :p :p :p :p :p

would you care if the MSRP is different by almost $20k CLK55 being more expensive that is.

there is really nothing no one can help you. depends on your own taste.

Do you live in the US? If so, take a visit to http://www.mbusa.com. It will probably answer all your questions (based on the kind of questions you've been asking on this forum thus far). If not, each country has their own Mercedes webpage that can be substituted for you.

No joke. The first owner of the car is Jürgen Schrempp Daimler Chrysler AG. The car was driven by his son cause Jürgen´s cellphone number was saved under the name "daddy" (german: "papa") in the linguatronic dialing system.
I called him to be sure and he was on the phone. He said it is very funny to see how much security he has arround himself and how much energy he puts in hiding his privacy. Then someone get the old car of its son and calls him on the cell while he has a meeting with the DC executive committee

Erm, Linguatronic only dials your entry for papa from your phone book and does not store the number along with it. I might believe that you bought the car from Jurgen's son but not the last part about the prank call.

Hi,

sure linguatronic only spells your word to the phone but what I wanted to say is that his number was not saved in the mobile phone. I changed the sim card cause I got my own one. I had searched for the numbers but didn´t find anything. One day the linguatronic missunderstood my command ("dial number") and started to tell me the hole phonebook.
I don´t know where this phonebook is saved cause I didn´t find it when I was searching for it. It´s the phonebook of Jürgen Schrempps son. Me and my girlfriend wanted to know what Jürgen will say so we called him on his cell. So we called him - believe it or not

I'll probably go with the C32 just because of price difference is more on the CLK.

I would go with the CLK because the price difference is more than the C32.

So you are saying - even though Jurgen's son took his sim card and you installed yours - The linguatronic started reciting your phone book from a to z then during this whole mess it spitted out Jurgen's Schrempp number which the car had in the back of its mind.. Hmm.. interesting but I still don't believe you I do believe you bought the son's car but not the call part still.

OK,

so don´t believe me. Maybe I will meet Ronald sometime in munich so I can show him. But I´m sure that even if he says that it´s the truth, you won´t believe me.
Otherwise it doesn´t pay if you believe me or not.

BTW, somethin I must write in german cause I don´t know how to say it in english. It´s about how the linguatronic works with the phonebook cause I really believe you never had this option:
"Spricht der Benutzer einen Namen unter der Option {Namen Speichern} in das Telefonbuch, merkt sich das Linguatronic-System {Sprachausgabe} die Laute und die dahinterstehende Nummer. Aktiviert man dann das System indem man {Namen wählen} spricht, wünscht das System den Namen. Die nummer wird aus dem Speicher der Linguatronic verwendet. Bei der Funktion {Nummer wählen} wird automatisch auf das Mobiltelefon zugegriffen."

I would go for the C32 right now.

If I had some more cash I would get the E55

The CLK is too expensive.

Slam some mods on the C32 with the money you save and you will be close the an E55.

Ian, although I was born in germany and it's my first language, I forgot all of it cause I stopped using it ever since I was 5 so I would appreciate it if you would translate. Now - my cousin has a CL500 with Linguatronic and HE CAN DIAL a number if he wants by passing it out OR PICK a number from his phone book. Now the question I asked you was if Jurgen's son had his daddy's number stored inside Linguatronic somewhere?? You never did answer this unless its in german and I'm not going to give my self a headache trying to translate it now. Don't make such a big deal out of it if I dont believe you

Hi,

OK, I´ll try to translate
In the german part I wrote that the linguatronic has a different mermory system and is not using the same phonebook like the telephone does. Schrempps son saved his fathers name and number by using the linguatronic system and not by saving it into the phonebook memory of the cellphone. By changing the SIM card of the cellphone he deleted all the numbers form the phonebook memory but not from the linguatronic memory. Maybe he forgot to.

When I used the linguatronic I said "Call number" and it undersood "Call name". So it started to list me all names which are saved to the linguatronic memory. When I bought the car DCX told me that it´s Jürgen Schrempps car and he drove it himself. But thats not the truth cause Jürgens cell repeated when I was calling "daddy".

That ´s a true story but nothing very important

When I did my first assyst with that car DCX told me that it has too much options and modifications [maybe done by the manufaktur] on it.
For example: I can watch TV and can change the car settings while I am driving.

I see Ian.. Regarding the fact that you can change the car settings and watch TV when you drive - The mercedes dealership will do it for you. I had my W211 changed the same way, I can change settings and do anything - talk on the phone and also got rid of a speed limit warning via programming that they do using the star diagnastic laptop. My cousin had his TV also working when he drives the same way except they made him sign a disclaimer about safety thats it.. all done for free also.

Hi,

it´s not possible that MB will set yout TV tuner free. Only older command versions are able to.
But whatever... I am sick of that discussion.
