Talking My painted SL55 full setup

Well I'm very excited and wanted to share with you guys..I can say that upgrading to SL55 setup seem to wake the car up a very noticable feel...and SC whine is more prominent. I haven't Dynoed car yet cause waiting on Dyno Tune from LET sometime this month...

Looks great, Victor!

Excluding AFRs, never mind the dyno numbers - is US41 Dragway open for the season?

Those are my ITG sock filters here's a close up... Yes...I have nothing in airboxes.....feels like a very noticable increase in power.

If you are talking about the SL55 airboxes I bought them off a forum member and the SL55 engine cover new at local MB dealer as for the ITF sock filters well at itgfilters.net.

Looks great - curious about the socks... so you added the foam filter, and don't have anything in the airbox... does that flow better than having a high flow (e.g. ITG, K&N, Green, BMC, etc.) panel filter in the airbox? Any concern about dirt or debris getting through somehow?

Nice work!!

Nice work!!
These sock filters where told to me by another forum member and if he feels...he can chime in. I while I had parts painted we put the sock filters directly on the boot of the SL55 "Y" splitter and looking at the airboxes they where clean...no performance gain from putting sock filters on "Y" splitter thou. I feel it flows better since area covered are only the air inlet tubes thus the airboxes fill with air just before they are sucked in. I added the front pieces of the C32 inlet to help reduce hot engine air from going in....even thou there are some that feel hot engine air won't hinder performance I felt better doing this. I like it alot...I can't waite for Dyno Tune and Track days ahead.

I've only had them about 2/3 months in time I will be able to tell how well filtration is. But so far they seem to filter very well.

Can you trim off ~1.5" of the back sides of the cover, so the whole thing moves back and it fits flush? Or does that cause a different fitment issue?

If it was that simple I would have done it but there are other obstructions to deal with then.

Hey Victor,,, intake is looking sick! Looking forward to the dyno results...

ITG has been around a long time and worthy enough for F1 cars in Euro. I have had them on my LET intake through all of winter and they have been gr8. Read up at http://www.itgairfilters.com/

Cost is only $22 ea..
