Toyo T1Rs - any good suppliers?

Hey guys,

I need to get new front tires soon - i currently have Toyo T1R Proxes ZR19/35mm directional tires. I wanted to poll the group and see if anyone knew/suggested any good priced sellers online? I got a guy that can mount them, so I'm shopping solely on price here (and the ability to get directional tires again).

Thanks in advance!

I am also interested in knowing where I can find some good priced T1R. The price of T1R seem to have went up quite a bit since my last purchase. Thanks in advance.

i shopped around on 10-15 different sites today, and i saw prices all the way up to $299 per tire.... ppl r crazy!

anyhow, the best price was on treadzone.com - great find, billapex.

i got 2 tires shipped, all in for just under 400. that's pretty good... just placed my order!

not a bad price from the site that's posted above.

not a fan of T1R tho. they don't have the quick initial turn in response that I like.

The slightly rounded sidewalls are probably the culprit.

I am a fan for street/strip use. I cannot argue with a 1.6x 60-foot, but may try the Nittos for the next set.

I think it's the compound they switched to when they come out with the T1R to replace the T1S. I've driven my friend's car before with t1s and after with t1r, they always have the rounded sidewalls, but the t1r's just doesn't have the same response. only upside is being a lot quieter. lol

i agree... they're quieter and pretty smooth for street/highway driving... it seems like alot of the guys that track their cars ride on P zeros / nittos

I'm not a fan of the T1-R's either. I've "somehow" come across 6 tires that are out of round from the factory and cause vibration. This was verified by doing a roadforce balance at 2 independant tire shops and also at the local Benz dealership.

I will not be buying them ever again.
