I went to the dealer cuz I found an 08 g37s manual fully loaded with every option which is like all the options of the c32+100 more goodies. Its a bit slower but more reliable, efficient, comfortable, fun(i prefer manual). I wasn't really planning on taking it but fields infiniti offered me more for the benz then I paid last year in February so they "made me an offer I couldn't refuse"

I miss the power and tilt mirrors.

They're nice rides....now slap a Stillen or Vortech supercharger on it and you'll be set!

Congrats on your new ride!

In this economy, to be offered more for an MB than what you paid over 1 year ago is truly remarkable - assuming there wasn't any fishy "offer more for the trade, instead of discounting the price of the new car as much" business going on.

All in all, sounds like a great car and a meaningful upgrade. Do share some pics, whenever convenient.

Thanks guys I'm lovin it. Besides getting more then I paid i saved around $1,600 in taxes since you don't pay a tax on the trade in. They didn't know I was trading it in till last minute. I'll post pics later this week or next after I polish it!

grats on the car. great car, but not so efficient or practical tho. one of my friend has the same car, but when i asked him about mpg he was shaking his head. he avg around only 18-19 max on the 6spd. the trunk was retardedly small.

thanks guys. The mpg is 18-19....in the city. The C32 was giving me like 11mpg in the city. Highway on the C32 was amazing 24-31 depending how heavy my foot was feeling, but I don't drive on the highway so thats useless to me.

I'm not sure what size the tank is on the g37 but the benz did like 150-160 miles on a tank. The g did 240miles on the first tank. gas isnt really a big factor but I'm only 18 so It really is kinda stupid to be spending like 60bucks a week on gas.

all good, but I'm getting 240-250 miles per tank with my C32 and I thought that was low already. lol

I think the G37 has a 18 gallon tank. not sure. 18-19 was my friend's combined mpg unless i remembered wrong. lol

his car alone with another friend's 335. http://myg37.com/forums/picture-shar...35-vs-g37.html

Wow 250 per tank is pretty good. I gotta say I did put my foot to the floor a lot of times. Also my check engine light was on and it had something to do with the evap system, I have a friend that's going to school to be a tech and he said that It probably has something to do with me getting bad mileage. What type of driving do you do FrankW?

Honestly I don't think Infiniti even looked at my car. I think that they just checked the record online ( I consistantly serviced it) and its value. I left the keys with the sales guy when I went for a test drive on the g and when I came back it looked like the benz was still in the same parking space in the exact same position. So I just didn't say anything I thought maybe they had some people walk up front look at it.

The Benz was starting to get problematic with all sorts of noises and squeaks and was causing too much of a headache for me and not to mention it caused me to miss work quite a few times plus service/repairs/checkups were drying me out. It was going to need new tires (Omm thread was left in rears and 2mm in fronts), oil, service, wipers, warranty was up, check engine was on for like an unknown reason(the dealership wouldn't tell me why) and there were some loose plastic components inside, radio was cracked, drivers door panel was coming off, loose handle. It needed new thrust arm bushings and a new fuel tank(I just recently replaced the fuel pump). It also needed some new seals on the tranny, cuz it was cracked. Just maintenance. Alignment was off by like 2 degrees and the car just didn't feel to stable. I honestly think I gave it away at the right time for the right amount.

I considered another MB or BMW but then I thought about my sisters Lexus and the only thing I heard her complain about was that she has to get oil changes.

I'm a semi aggressive driver haul *** here and there.

you definitely got a good deal out of it if they gave you around the same you paid for last year.

for me, I put too much into the car to let it go for fraction of the price. just thinking about selling it for only $15-16k or less when I got it for $60k it just un-real.

oh yea, I confirmed with my friend. he says he avg 20mpg with his 6spd G37.

11 in the city? That seems *real* low. Average I get about 250-260 mpg a tank going to work and back. When I take a trip, then I get up to 350 on the freeway doing about 80.

When I drove to New York, I did ~420 miles on one tank. the avg was 31.4-32mpg. its just terrible in the city. I was seriously getting around 160 miles to a tank and I drove it pretty aggressively.

wait for a turbonetics or greddy twin turbo to come out for this model. the good thing about that infiniti is all the aftermarket stuff they have for it.
